the problem with the "ship out the deadwood policy" is that you have to find someone to take them, and they have to be willing to go there!, alot of our under performing players, have played well before....... i think VVD has soured the dressing room, get rid of him (abroad) and give the rest a captain they actually respect.

to me the worst thing about this, is that he accepted the role of captain! be honest and just say....look i don't think i'm staying here, give it to someone that is going to be a stalwart for the club! utter clown!

its not like he's on the bread line is it, he could stay for a year and know his family is very sound money wise! hes just a total nob! a greedy little clown, WE stood by him, and helped him through a nasty injury! he owes at least a season! sell him abroad or let him rot!

i see three options here: 1.Stay one more season then leave with our blessing. 2.He stays on strike (what a joke) and we make him sit out the season, and let everyone see what a massive helmet he is. 3.Sell him abroad, probably won't get as much money, but it least it will be us, dictating to him, and not the other way round.

just a hypothetical point.... but SRL is probably nearing retirement, could we get him back as a coach for strikers, the boy does know how to find the net.......

i think he's probably a decent coach, but i think managers have to command respect from the players, and don't think he has that about him, i think hes alot like Mcclaren, has a deep knowledge of football but not alot of power over his players.............sound familiar?
