  1. I understand A, but B doesn't add up. It would raise Portpin's debt from £13.5m to £28.5M... and reduce the likelyhood of seeing any of it again... Good money after bad?
  2. Portpin paying £15m to support club, why?
  3. If HMRC manage to get the court case they seek, Admin would effectively be suspended. Who would manage PCFC for the next few days?
  4. I think that, if Portpin lean't to Falcondrone and not PCFC, that would make Chainrai just the leading shareholder of PCFC, and not the owner nor a secured creditor. i.e. he can't call in the admins...
  5. If Portapin are still owed £13.5 million, that would mean they value Fratton at £3.5m (+ interest)
  6. Check out 11:23! Someone with an interesting username
  7. Alice in Wonderland quote isn't it?
  8. They are filtering very heavily today methinks
  9. £38M ha!
  10. Or perhaps they are due a installation on one of their player sales in April?
  11. I think he wasn't at the previous court case either (was he?)
  12. Live skate coverage: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/custompages/custompage.aspx?pageid=81796
  13. Downloaded the 180mb file... but it's an unknown file type (called 'FM2010_v10.3.0_PC_Patch[1]'), and hasn't exectuted. Have I missed something, or is there some directory the file needs to be stored in, or does the game just recognise that there is a patch somewhere on the machine? Did it automatically install after the download for others? Perhaps it's because I'm on a 64 bit machine? EDIT: worked it out. I simply needed to add the '.exe' myself. For some reason the patch downloaded without the file extention!
  14. Over on POL the skates seem to be convinced that tomorrow's court date is just a technicality, and that HMRC are getting desperate.
  15. And, blimey, when I posted the other day about the cheap team I'd assembled, I didn't realise how good they actually were. Shilla, Glauber & Lung jr have sorted out the leaks at the back (although Lung jr never dives for penalties!). Shilla is better than Jaidi (even better than Fonte seems to be) and he's free!; Krivets is outstanding on the wing, at end of first season I turned down an Everton bid of £6M + 50% of next sale for him. Smolarek scores more than either Lambert or Saga, which considering he's free gives you by far the best firepower in League One.
  16. Before you begin a new game, you can use the Editor to make changes. Markus has been set up as a 'Background' sugar daddy - essentially, he won't invest much, but will prevent the club from going into debt. By changing him into a 'Foreground' sugar daddy he starts chucking cash at the team in an Abramovich c. 2003 way. With foreground on, ML gives c. £1.5M (L1); c. £8M (Chp); & c. £40M (Avoid Relegation Prem). Essentially this is cheating, but the problem is that 'real life' Markus appears to be somewhere between the two settings, so far he has splashed more cash than a background sugar daddy, but nowhere near as much as a foreground might. The editor can be found in your computer's program files (somewhere like C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\tools\editor\editor.exe (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\tools\editor\editor.exe))
  17. Good read, sums up the situation quite well... http://www.thelawyer.com/opinion-the-ins-and-outs-of-the-football-creditor-rule/1003625.article
  18. Just started... (with ML foreground), lost first game, but unbeaten since then, and have got rid of the -10 very fast. In: Lauren (Free) Omozusi (Free) Shilla (Free) Gradel (£275K) Smolarek (Free) Glauber (Free) Lung jr (£190K) Krivets (£475K) Salukvadze (£210K)
  19. Well he might have a point if the tickets were about £5 each...
  20. I'm convinced that Chainrai is working with/for Gaydamak. Keeping all of al Mirage's people in place, and now the 'Phil Hall' stuff. If I'm right, Gaydamak has been keeping the club alive, by limping from owner to owner. As most of the debt is his anyway, and if he can somehow free up the cash, might not he, or another of his puppets, somehow emerge as the saviour from admin? Perhaps Pompey's fate will be determined by the outcome of Gaydamak's next court appearance (does anyone know the date?).
  21. Some of the vids etc are on here: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Portsmouth-Enters-Administration-As-Premier-League-Side-Fails-To-Find-Buyer-Willing-To-Invest/Article/201002415559736?lpos=UK_News_News_Your_Way_Region_2&lid=NewsYourWay_ARTICLE_15559736_Portsmouth_Enters_Administration_As_Premier_League_Side_Fails_To_Find_Buyer_Willing_To_Invest
  22. C. £10billion pa taken from Scotland > England in oil C. £10billion pa given from England > Scotland in social subsidies. If they want to leave it's fine by me, but when the oil runs out they will need to dust off their begging bowls and practice fluttering their eyelashes in Brussels.
  23. Will Terry walk? IMO it would be the right thing to do, he's let his country down badly.
  24. You still hoping that they get put out of their pain then? I'm still not sure whether the slow lingering death isn't actually going to be worse for them...
  25. And no buyers meet the self imposed deadline (hardly news that one): http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Business/Portsmouth-FC-Buyers-Fail-To-Show-Cash-Club-Set-To-Go-Into-Administration/Article/201002415559607?lpos=Business_Carousel_Region_1&lid=ARTICLE_15559607_Portsmouth_FC_Buyers_Fail_To_Show_Cash%3A_Club_Set_To_Go_Into_Administration
