Only really the southern most provinces adjecent to Malaysia are dangerous though. The only other hot spots are the Shan camps along the Burmese border, and confrontations with the Cambodian military along their border... the majority of the country seems to be very safe.

The heavens opened last time I was in Bangkok's C&C, everyone outside got drenched. Good food though, just forget about the morning glory - overrated IMO.

It sounds like you are going to be staying in safe areas, so could probably get away without needing any injections. However, the World Health Organisation's (very OTT) vacination advice is: Adult diptheria and tetanus booster (if none in last 10 years) Hep A (12mth booster) Hep B (take 3 shots over 6 months before travel - or last minute rapid schedule) MMR (unless you have previously had them) Polio (no reported cases in region ; only one booster required in lifetime) Typhoid Varicella (if you haven't had chicken pox) For longer trips, and to riskier areas (i.e. aways from the city lights), consider: Japanese B encephalitis, Meningitis, Rabies & TB Oh, and then you need to think about anti-malaria tablets

Some like James will definately still be in line for big bonuses... Any sensibly run company would have reconsidered the level of its bonuses in the wake of the 2008 cup run, and as a result significantly reduced the bonues payments written into contracts. The question is, are Pompey a sensibly run company?

So the female skate's nether region can fit the unabridged works of Shakespeare, encyclopedias, and still have room for a copy of the 'newspaper of choice' The Sun? (I assume that's intellectually stimulating for the citizens of skatesville). I love the way our fishy friends are bigging themselves up, it'll make the next inevitable twist in the saga so much sweeter. Humility would have been the sensible course of action.

Disagree. HMRC aren't 'making an example'. They are simply treating the skates as they would any other company. If you fall behind on your taxes, HMRC will pursue you. If you pay, or arrange payment, they will offer you some slack (not a lot!). If you try to wriggle, dispute the tax, or miss repayment schedules they will seek to wind up the company. So what to HMRC want out of this? Either repayment in full, or for the company to cease trading.

No. In four weeks time if Pompey have been deducted 9 points they can consider themselves to be very, very lucky.

Some details (stolen from POL, who have in-turn stolen them from a Swindon fan). Now I know we were already aware that Swindon didn't think a lot of AA, but here are some details about why not:

Wonder what would happen if Pompey somehow get granted more time from the court, while at the same time their team manage to scrape through to the FA cup final... before being liquidated. Would the other finalists get a bye?

Since when has Blair been anything to do with Socialism? That's like saying Thatcher was a liberal

Most likely for James, but pehaps O'Hara?

RIP Michael. [Dune, ouch, was that your own foot you shot?]

That's a crazy rule... is it FIFA? FA? Or League? Not sure I understand why anyone would have written a rule which gives preferencial treatment to an unrelated legal entity.

AFC Wimbledon - 7 years, 4 promotions. Started in tier 9, currently in tier 5. Tier 9, for Pompey would mean 'Wessex Premier' (fingers crossed eh) - http://full-time.thefa.com/Index.do?divisionseason=796030&league=274386

Absolutely. 'We agree admin is the correct way' was only brought to our attention because the 'Skate News' reporter was picking out any pro-pompey thing he could. This was said by the HMRC's lawyer, not because HMRC want admin over winding up, but to establish that HMRC were not trying to fight the concept of companies going into administration. Had HMRC not said this, and pressed for the winding up they desire, the Skate lawyer would have had a possible 'wriggle out' opportunity. 'Yooor 'onour, this case is not just an attempt to prosecute of the innocent victims at Portsmouth FC, HMRC are actually using this case to ruthlessly attack the very concept of businesses going into administration'

Got to love this skate post on POL... apparently the squad is worth the full £38m (once you add £2.5m Nugent back in)
-
So who runs the club until the 15th then? Android?
-
Yup, along with 'TCWTB' 'Barry Fry' & 'Norwegian Blue'... Well done SWF...

The 12th is a friday!

Love the word 'Prospect'
-
Love the word Shadow

And here's my answer... Portpin AREN'T going to pay £15m
-
Hmmm... and why cough up £15m after administration... and not before? He could have prevented any point deductions and perhaps even relegation had he invested 2 weeks ago.
-
I see what you mean... but the ground's value has already been removed from the £13.5m still owed; and the ground will be rental arrangement is for £1m x 15 years... Meaning Portpin would be paying £15m to pompey to receive £15m back over 15 years, and would get the additional 'benefit' of having to wait 15 years before they can call in the bulldosers and make some real money... Either Chainrai has grown a heart, or something fishy is going on...
