Boruc reminds me of John Burridge- a massive ego but not always the best keeper. Burridge was quickly replaced by Tim Flowers who is arguably our best keeper since Shilton. Sadly Niemi was far too injury prone and never played a full season for us. Forster will only get better. Boruc cost us points in a number of matches last season.

He had a lot of opportunities last season and never took them. He deserves a second chance as it took Alan Shearer a few seasons to score regularly for us.

The loss of Schneiderlin, Cork and Ward-Prowse has exposed a lack of depth in central midfield. Ward-Prowse offers a lot in terms of corners and free kicks. We've not made enough out of dead ball situations since Lambert left.
