Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
LeBizzier69 replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
Maybe and without doubt yes. -
You're looking at £70m minimum just for Lavia and JWP + parachute payments and other sales.....no excuse to really not have a damn good go at coming straight back up netx season.
-
If he's leaving us, let the bidding war commence...
-
I'm gutted about relegation, but i'm finding the thing that's bothering me most is (probably) not seeing Lavia and JWP play in a saints shirt again.
-
Is that in Bedford Place?

Well, in theory that's how it should work....the assumption is that he's contracted to us, and comes back for pre-season etc with the rest. If someone offers big bucks then ship him off. There's no divine right to a transfer just because you were on loan to a team that got promoted. What should we accept though? I expect £20m+ would work - but given he's torn up the championship we should be looking to hold on to him.
-
We do have a chance of keeping Tella - we tell him he's staying with us. Unless of course we get an offer we can't refuse!
-
When you say no way we keep Tella - i'm assuming you mean that if we get a crazy offer for him? We aren't a charity, and can't let him go just because the side he joined on loan got promoted.....even though he played a massive part in it. So long as we get appropriate funds for him, that's fine. Otherwise, he should be rejoining us and continuing where he left off.

Positive aspects of being in the Championship
LeBizzier69 replied to east-stand-nic's topic in The Saints
The best news so far for me is that Diallo and now apparently Moi don’t want to stay with the club. I’ll be raising a glass to that dynamic duo with my Sunday lunch. -
There’s only one chap near me who (like me)has his seat since day 1 at SMS. After our loss the other night he basically said he’d had enough. Very surprised given what we’ve seen together over the last 20 years. But that does seem a worrying trend. I get that it’s god awful at the moment, but the way I see it, it makes the good times all the better….are we going to see 20k attendances next season do we think??
-
As with Jones, I feel for him a bit. Clearly out of his depth/totally inept and could well have ruined his managerial career before it’s even started. Didn’t set out to make us a losing side, and we were all but screwed before he took over. Expect he’ll go back to being a coach somewhere, and hope he can revive his career.

With some decent revenue from player sales we can add some gritty, savvy midfield additions, a decent manager, and maybe keep hold of Tella and get Smallbone back…no reason at all we can’t put up a decent fight next season. SR need to keep this part of their investment afloat, so I can’t see them wanting to languish in the lower divisions long. I’m not convinced we’ll go straight back up, but think we’ll give it a good go. It’s all pretty raw right now for everyone so I get the doom and gloom predictions etc.

We don’t belong anywhere near this league and it shows. Time to attempt a rebuild.

Nice of Brighton to phone in tonight’s performance.
-
He’s just a passenger. It’s ridiculous.
-
What exactly is AA offering this side?
-
Might have to take the dog for an extra long walk without my phone.

Think I’ll be going Arsenal win and over 3.5 goals again…
-
I'm not saying this to get on any sort of high horse as this is my own personal opinion.....i'll be renewing regardless as surely that's what fans (who can afford to AND can get to the games easily enough) do? I may be in the minority in saying this, but being a saints fan has never been easy but part of being a fan of this club is enjoying the highs and the lows. I'd be amazed if we bin off Selles, and is it really going to make much difference ultimately? If we were a win from safety and had a good run (5/6) of very winnable games coming up then perhaps.

Watching Lavia is worth the trip.

Whatever happens today is going to cause annoyance all round. Play like sh1t and get stuffed - annoying. Play an absolute stonker of a game and win 4-0 - annoying it wasn’t done sooner.

Quieter trains, easier parking, SFC fans rather than PL fans, more games, different opposition, smaller bar queues, a new journey, something to actually play for……I’d rather be in the PL but if we’re not…oh well.

Several warm flat Kingfishers it is then. Jesus wept.

This is part of the reason I love our club despite all the shit that goes with it. I’d hate to become a club loved by everyone (or anyone as it is now!).
