  1. I'm even more against sacking him now than I was before the start of the season. I think we have improved a lot and he is trying out new formations which he didn't do before. I also don't get the negativity towards Ralph after yesterdays game (apart from not bringing Walcott off sooner), and booing at the end is just a joke. We scored two against a team who keep it very very tight and organised and are really hard to break down (hence the slow build up play which a lot of the less knowledgable football fans didn't seem to understand.) What cost us the game yesterday was two defensive errors from Tino and Bednarek, nothing to do with the manager. We can't be scoring two at home against teams like Burnley and not winning and it was the individual mistakes yesterday that cost us.
  2. Funny thing is I had the most 'fun' supporting saints when we were in the lower leagues. Cheaper tickets, better connection with the players, no plastics at the games. Although that may be because most of the time we were winning. Whether we're fighting for europa league spots or fighting relegation in league 1 you'll still find me at the games. Just hope we can get through this little dark place we currently find ourselves in and make our way up the table again.

  4. So we're just going to call for his head every time we're on the wrong side of a close game now? We should have won at the etihad last week if it weren't for some poor officiating. He has improved our defence massively since last season. On another day we win yesterdays game, its not like we were outplayed by a poor Wolves team. Just back the lads and stop sh*tting the bed every time we lose a game.
  5. I'm surprised at the empty seats if I'm honest. We're still in the premier league. I understand if its a financial thing with people being laid off for covid reasons, but if its just because of the pessimism before this season thats incredibly fickle.
  6. I'm still remaining blindly optimistic and I think he can turn it around (if he learns from his mistakes). We're in an almost identical position to West Ham last season. They narrowly avoided relegation in the 19/20 season, their fans were bottom of the 'optimism leaderboard' like us this season. They lost their first game of last season 2-0 at home to Newcastle but ended up having a great season and qualified for Europe. If we can somehow get back to playing how we did the start of last season then we'll be good. If not, we need to change things by December to have a chance of survival
  7. I have no idea then. It would have to be a manager no one has heard of because there are no good options out there for us
  8. I'm still Ralph in, just about. Although I must admit if he was a less likeable character I think I'd be done with him already. I think we need to give him 10 or so games, sacking a manager after the first game (at Goodison also) is stupid especially given that its a certain loss for us anyway. Eddie Howe would be even worse so thats a no from me. There is only one manager I want who I've heard of who I think we could get and that is Gerrard from Rangers. How people can want Lampard is beyond me, its clear how tactically inept he was at Chelsea when as soon as Tuchel came in they were 100 times better. So its Gerrard or a foreign manager for me
  9. Does that mean Livramento starts? He was decent last week when he came on but I wouldn't have started him over KWP yet
  10. Barrow vs Villa will be a good watch. Why on earth is WBA Arsenal on though. Thats a league fixture every other season. Us vs Newport or Leeds vs Crewe would've been my picks for the second game

  12. I dont know why we aren't going all out for Thomas Delaney. He has bags of experience which is what we're lacking right now. Pretty sure he played DM and CB last season for Dortmund. Seems a no brainer for me
  13. Avoid parking in Liverpool if at all possible
  14. The 'expert' pundits say we're relegation fodder every year. Even under Poch and Koeman one or two were saying we'd struggle. Only difference is this year they might have a point. I honestly have no idea how we'll go this year. We've all seen how we can play with no injuries and proper rest times and I think if we can replicate that then a top half finish and a chance at europe is actually possible. But then again the second half of last season is certain relegation form.
  15. After the news on Wednesday its been doom and gloom for a few days. But this and the Armstrong deal happening it lifting the clouds a bit. Crocker and Semmens know what they're doing, now just for a defensive mid, centre back and left back
  16. I agree. Away fans should be in the kingsland from block 34 to 38 (sorry any ST holders there). Out of sight from the TV cameras and not right behind the goal. Then we'd have all of the northam and hopefully we'd start kicking that way in the second half
  17. This clearly isn't the Ings replacement. It has been reported in the last 24 hours that we are in for a young forward as well as a signing who is as close to replacing Ings as we can get. Broja is clearly the former of these two signings.
  18. You can't say that every single season and then the one season it happens say 'you see, I told you this would happen'
  19. Say he's another Bale and in 3 years time his market value is £50m+. If the buy back is set at £20m then we are being screwed out of a lot of money. Thats the part of it I dont like.
  20. Not a fan of the buy back clause, I think that should be banned really. But still a great signing nonetheless
  21. Just announced the improvement plans over the next few months. At least they are investing in the stadium and responding to feedback, including locally sourced food and drink https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2021-07-30/southampton-fc-announces-st-marys-improvements
  22. I'd happily entertain Tangaga + £10m for Vestergaard

    Danny Ings

I believe its something to do with where Valery is from in Paris. He did it when he scored that belter at Old Trafford

  25. Redmond has been unplayable since he came on. Great goal again
