Nice to see Tino and Armando watching the B team today. As well as Ralph (and wife), Crocker and a number of others
-
That Shane Long chant was incredibly loud also. Even chapel was getting involved

I sat in the new padded seats at the FA Youth cup game a few months ago. I did find them very comfy and they were much warmer on a cold night. Not sure I'd pay the £100s more for a season ticket in them however
-
I had an email on Monday notifying me that the season ticket priority window was open. For those who haven't had any comms check what your communication preferences are with the club.

Was thinking this earlier. There is no way their plane will be able to land on friday evening with 90+mph gusts expected here. They might need to redirect their flight or just get the bus down
-
A shuttle ferry from the channel islands could be an option? Or even get some of our French neighbours interested now we have Perraud and Diallo both looking good
-
Since he said earlier this year or end of last in regards to the manager who came into the PL. My first thought was Steven Gerrard? I feel like he's a much better fit for us than Bruno Lage. Either SG or Thomas Frank I reckon.

Pretty content with a draw. I think we'd all have taken it beforehand. We had the chances to win it, they had the chances to win it. Its nice being able to look forward to the footy again isn't it!

The issue is that the vocal fans want to be next to the away fans. And the chapel is the opposite side of the ground. That also doesn't solve the problem of away fans being behind the goal they're shooting at in the second half. No doubt that makes a difference for them.
-
I'd say he's learned that no matter your league position you are never safe because of what happened last season. I personally have no complaints as long as we win, which we did. Broja getting injured just proves why its a good idea to rest them. Just a shame we needed to bring him on
-
Struggling to see why people are saying Ralph shouldn't rotate the lineup. We have three games in less than a week, and you need to give the fringe players a chance to keep morale up and to give players like Small first team football. Yes it wasn't as comfortable as we'd have liked but we're through are we. Also this is the first time Ralph has selected a significantly weakened team from what I can remember. Last year he was playing our full strength team in the FA Cup
-
Yeah I do agree with that. The more vocal fans (such as myself) prefer to be closer to the away fans as its easier to respond to chants and taunt etc. So making the chapel into a 'kop' wouldn't really work. Suppose the issue is with how the ground was designed in the first place with regards to the housing of the away fans.

I want what most other fans want and thats a good, loud atmosphere at St Mary's every game. And making the Northam a full home end would help that a lot. If you want to sit down and not make a noise all game then thats your choice, but I think the majority of vocal fans would support it.
-
Looking forward to this one. Cov fans will make a good atmosphere although no doubt there will be a lot of daytrippers making the journey down who wouldn't usually travel to away games. Might give us a sense of the type of atmosphere we could create if our fans had all of the Northam Hoping to see a few of the young lads make an appearance like Thierry Small, maybe Kegs Chauke also.
-
In what way do you mean? Derby used to have the away fans behind the goal but a few years ago they moved them to the corner and the atmosphere seems a lot better now. At Leicester the away fans are also in the corner. Most grounds do seem to house away support on the sideline/corner nowadays. We just need to find a way where the police would approve the changes. Atmosphere has been good at St Marys this season but having a Northam full of home fans would make it even better imo. Especially with the new safe standing seemingly coming soon

Only thing we have in favour of the other teams sniffing is that he's a very very good mate with KWP. They go on holiday with each other etc. Since its only a loan and not permanent I think that counts for more
-
I was looking at this the other day. Even going onto google maps and trying to figure out how they could get the away fans out haha. Maybe if the footbridge was turned into away exit only and their coaches parked on the top or on northam road the away fans could be moved to the Kingsland North. Then our fans can have all of the northam and we can kick that way in the second half. This would always be opposed by people who use the bridge or sit in kingsland north of course. Just hate seeing jubilant away fans on the TV highlights!
-
I think its a brilliant tactic targeting bright prospects from the big clubs who wont get game time. The Tino and Broja situation has only made moving to us even more attractive for these youngsters too. Its what Dortmund have done for years.
-
Thats just come from the same source as your first post. 'TuttoMercatoWeb'. Given that it hasn't been reported anywhere else I wouldn't say its remotely true. He can't leave for club other than us this window anyway since Chelsea can only recall him with our permission.
-
I wouldn't say we're relegation rivals. We're closer to the european spots than we are to them...
-
I would also be shocked if on the face of him we get him for that. But if we stack the deal with a buy back clause and additional fees for gaols scored etc. They might go for it. This would be very important. If we don't get him now I don't think we will with West Ham sniffing around
-
Great video of our goal from the City end here. What a noise!
-
I'm sure most of us don't have an issue with selling players to 'big' clubs like Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs etc. The issue with rumours at the moment is that its clubs that we have been ahead of in recent years; Villa, Newcastle, West Ham etc. We can not afford for players like Salisu, JWP, Broja to choose these other teams ahead of us and I hope that Dragan will provide the funds to keep hold of these key players or we have no hope of pushing for Europe any time soon.

Coventry have good support. (probably similar to ours in size). If league positions were swapped I'd like to think that we'd sell out 5 thousand at the Ricoh. Although my Cov supporting mate doesn't seem to think they'd sell out 5k. Fingers crossed I dont have to swap seats...
