  1. Tut tut Stanley, you know full well that I don't see myself as a model fan. Just one that doesn't think that cr*p results warrant violence against other people or witch hunts. So are you saying that the Forest game wasn't big? And you still haven't responded to the fact that you are happy to support others clubs financially but not your own.
  2. My apologies. It wasn't really aimed at you, just the people who do that.
  3. And your views do Stanley when you are happy to financially support every other club than your own? You only turned up at St Marys whn you thought that it was going to kick off. I know people who go to St Marys and do not beat up other fans, do not spend hours slagging off the board. They moan and ***** about the team and the result and that is as far as it goes. There are many cyber supporters around the world (and I am sure you know Yolly) whose views are as valid as anyone elses. If you chose to dismiss or belittle them, that is your choice mate.
  4. Dismiss others? True colours? Yes I will dismiss others if I think they go too far and why not? They have their right of opinion as much as I have mine. It just seems that here you are only truly acceptd by the masses if you want to string a bloke up by the neck. As for true colours, I have always had a problem wth reactionaries and that will never change.
  5. Not rattled Stanley, just frustrated by people who are so wrapped up in their own agendas that they fail to bother to actually read what is in front of them. You and your ilk just don't get it do you?
  6. I don't have a vast intellect at all. I just don't "get" how people can have so much festering hatred inside them that they want to go and take it out by hitting someone else. Yes losing sucks, but why go and punch someone or come on here and say you would if you met them in the street? These people are doing a job just like we do. They are not doing it very well. If you were not performing well at work would you expect a colleague to come and thump you? I come on to read posts from people like Frank's Cousin, the two Nicks, Weston, Steve Grant etc but the more reasoned people here get drowned out by the reactionaries. Not one of these people have ever run a football club yet, from behind their PCs they know it all. Well I don't know it all and I am prepared to accept that the people behind the scenes make certain decisions based on certain criteria and think that they will produce the right results. If they don't then I expect these people to make changes. To come and and state (like one poster did) that a previous manager was going out of his way to ensure that we didn't get promoted is just plain ridiculous. To come and and say you are going t hiy someone if you meet them because your football club is not doing well is frankly psychotic. I am as frustrated as everyone else, but I do not threaten them or join witch hunts, so maybe that is my failing eh? I would love to take my young children to see saints play, but it is never going to happen. Why, because I don't think it is a decent environment for kids. One of the reasons I stopped going to live matches in the 70s was that you would never know what the idiot next to you was likely to do. Sometimes I think the violence and intolerant attitudes have moved away from the terraces and onto internet forums.
  7. And why not. Do you condone some meatheads taking their frustrations out on fellow fans?
  8. As I have told you before, I am not a Lowe supporter. I support SFC but feel free to ignore the facts so long as it suits your own agenda.
  9. And you need to lighten up mate. Tell you what, lets go and punch a fellow fan because our team lost, that will make things better.
  10. Any attempt at humour on here is wasted Michelle. Didn't you know, football is more than a game. Unless you sign up to the stormtrooper mentality you have pretty much had it as far as many of the posters here are concerned.
  11. Stanley, you come across as one of those neanderthals who used to take pleasure in giving people a good kicking in the 70's. Also, you know who I am but have avoided revealing your identity to me, so I might be two faced and a muppet but I am not a coward. Feel free to expain how I am two faced please.
  12. Thank's for the chuckle Mike!!!
  13. I agree. I don't really care what Lowe says publically so long as he does something to sort this mess out this week.
  14. Or maybe he will sack JP because he will see he is not up to the job and we need to bring in someone who is?
  15. I think it was Wotte and another guy he was after.
  16. The main point is a decsiosn was made which has not panned out so far. We can belat all we like about the original decision but it makes no odds. The next decision is the most important one. Does JP stay and if not, who replaces him?
  17. Maybe they thought they were playing it safe. Maybe they thought that, without any money, they had no option. Who knows? We all though that brining in Strachan was a huge gamble at the time didn't we?
  18. I find this very sad, but then there are people at the club who think it is perfectly all right to behave in this matter. And they get upset when they are called the "lunatic fringe".
  19. Indeed Ponty we do. And we did when Lowe wasn't here too. If people can't control themselves and take it out on fellow fans it is not down to Lowe, it is down to the individuals themselves.
  20. Apaer from being the cheapest option (not sure about that, there is always someone cheaper) wasn't the idea to bring on the younger players and get a set up (conveyor belt) going so that player would come through the youth system and slot straight into the senior squad? Wasn't JP brought in because of his track record of bringing youngests through and Wotte to develop them in a similar way at a lower level? I can see the logic. It is just not working right now.
  21. I don't think there is any other way forward than to replace JP this week. Sadly I think it is likely that Wotte will replace him and if so, I am not sure he would fare much better. The squad isn't too bad and someone with a bit of CCC nous should be able to get the dreadful home form sorted.
  22. I enjoy nostalgia too, but but not when it is being used as part of a further agenda. You know what I mean, look what we had, look what we have now...all down to one man. I have to admit my rant the other night was fuelled by two bottles of Shiraz anf a heavy dose of frustration. I just find it incredibly sad and unfathomable that people will refuse to go and see a football team just because they do not like the CEO. I can't understand why some posters actually hate people they have never met and actually want to perorm acts of physical violence on them. Just because they make professional decsions that don't work out. What is that all about? So I don't go to many matches...I still feel sick when we lose and elated when we win against the odds. If I didn't care deeply about SFC I would not spend hours on sites like these over the years. But there has to be a limit. I get called arrogant yet those same people come on here daily and tell anyone that disagrees with them that they are wrong, isn't that arrogance also? Try and get a balanced debate going and the vultures are on your straight away called you a "Lowe Luvvie". Isn't that arrogance? Come on and slate the board and you have friends for life. For some people it seems that their whole lives revolve around the hatred they have for one man. Sorry, I just don't get it.
  23. Good for you. Loved the "old days" as much as anyone, but that is what they are, old. Like it or not, we live in the here and now. We no longer have players like Davies, Channon and Williams (sadly). If you live in the past and constantly compare today with the past you are never going to move on are you? My salary in now half what it was nine years ago. I could moan and ***** about it and go and camp outside the offices of the people who made me redunant nine years ago, but who does this affect? Me. Life is random. Football is random. But you have to learn to go with it. Without the genious of MLT we would probably have been in this situation years ago. Enjoy the good and deal with the bad. Otherwise you are going end up bitter and twisted. What is the point of waking up in the morning and getting bent out of shape over one man who is running a football club? Really? Lowe will not be here for ever. Someone else will come along and guess what, we will still lose football matches, we we stil sell our better players and sign the occasional donkey. Managers will come and go. Some good, some not so good. And the same old people will be on here moaning and *****ing about it.
  24. The perceived wisdom at the time was that the SISU deal was not a good one. Are Coventry realy setting the world alight nowdays? You have to make the right deal, not the only one on the table at the time. As for Crouch, I think he is too emotionally charged and shoots from the lip without engaging his brain. It is like someone from here running the club. But that is only my opinion of course.
  25. LOL, you guys kill me. 1. I don't believe that I can run the club better than the pros (unlike you cyber jockeys) and 2. Crouch did such a great job last time didn't he?
