  1. So ignore it then. Not hard is it?
  2. Who did you hear that from? Crouch? For all of the marvellous things Leon did for us last year we were still 20 minutes from relegation.
  3. That is what he says. I heard different but I didn't hear it direct from the bank, so who knows? What I would say is that you would not believe Lowe if he said that, so why believe Crouch?
  4. Spot on. I think there are very few people here (if any at the moment) who qualify as being a "Lowe Luvvie" but it seems if you are not prepared to string him up from the nearest lamp post that is what you are. Go figure. I expect it was the same in the Middle Ages. If you tried to point out the lack of logic in the whole ducking stool debacle you were probably burnt at the stake for being a witch too!!!
  5. Crouch made decisions which had an effect on the team, just as Lowe and other CEOs do.
  6. Ginge mate, successful demonstration? Has Lowe resigned then?
  7. You fall into the same trap. In what universe to you have to be only pro or anti anyone or anything to be taken seriously? Jeez, you peple. It is all about taking sides isn't it?
  8. I am doing no such thing and please give me the respect of not assuming someone is my hero when they are not. Unlike many here I do not get hung up om personalities. You talk about deflection but that is what you are doing. The whole labelling of people that don't agree with your views as "Lowe Luvvies" deflects from the arguement. Its the whole "if you are for us your ag'in us" ethos. I am just curious as to the standards of the protesters here. Would be happier in this position if someone else was in charge???
  9. You are missing the point Hypo, I am asking if we were in the same position despite Crouch doing whatever... I appreciate that you have a high opinion of Leon, but last season he too loaned out our better players, presided over an unsustainable wage bill and took us to the brink of relegation. I have also heard, and I don't know how true it is, that if he had stayed the club would have been in administration by now.
  10. The days of me getting my leg up that high are long gone!!!
  11. Ah but my question was specificaly about if he hadn't turned it around and we were still in the cr*p league position wise.
  12. I am talking about now Ginge, not last year when both were only here a short while.
  13. Yep Charlton passed us by! When mentioning Liverpool I am making the point about relativity. They are in a relative position because their fans expect them to with the league wthis year so currently they are "failing". My heros have nothing to do with SFC mate. Where was the money coming from after the Cup Final? Remember the size of the squad? It is not as if we were struggling for players was it. Perhaps if Starchan had bought better than McCann things might have been different? I should also remind you that much better and more expensive squads than our have been relegated. Relegation had nothing to do with money not spent. It was down to injuries to key players. It was down to Harry buying rubbish and not being bothered. It was down to many things.
  14. Hypothetically speaking, if we were in exactly the same financial predicament and exactly the same situation football-wise and if Leon Crouch was in charge and Nigel Pearson managing the team, would you have demonstrated yesterday?
  15. Perhaps they should all march to the City and find these ellusive investors that Lowe, Wilde and Crouch have all somehow failed to find???
  16. Strachan and Burley didn't do too badly did they? And most clubs managers "fail" in some ways are other. We are not Mancheter United or Chelsea. Listening to Liverpool supporters the other day they see themselves as failing right now and want rid of Rafa...oh to be failing like them!!!!
  17. LOL good point!!! But really, Lowe isn't going anywhere, no one is going to put any money in (if the likes of Salz were going to do so wouldn't they have done it long ago) so apart from pandering to the Citizen Smith brigade, what is the point? As I said earlier, Norwich, Forest and Doncaster fans must be loving this.
  18. If the current energy that is being spent on negativity was put into something positive as you suggest Sid it surely must be a better use of that energy? I do understand the frustration and bitterness but it gets us nowhere other than further in the mire.
  19. I think you have a point Sid. At a time when we need to be pulling together this is not ideal. Negativity breeds negativity.
  20. Damn.......hoisted by my own petard!!!
  21. Rupert doesn't have the money does he, he just has a say in how it is spent but he doesn't have the power and control of a Murdoch.
  22. Ah, then I shall have to move house! What are the prices like down there. Can a humble civel servant find it affordable?
  23. Blimey Ginge, have you been taking patronising lessons from Steve Godwin? You really are very good.
