Any grooming going on in your family Elon? https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/elon-errol-musk-children-stepdaughter-b2123744.html#
  3. The club were constantly slagged off for not signing a quality keeper then when they finally do, the signing is pointless apparently! Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.

More people ended up in jail down to the changes that Keir Starmer brought in as DPP (which had nothing to do with the Tory Party). The CPS have charging guidelines. They previously were instructed to ignore or give less creedence to evidence given by people affected by drugs or alcohol. He overturned that amongst other major changes to charging guidelines. One of the victims cited an occasion when she visited a police station to make an accusation about sexual abuse only to be told to go away and come back when she wasn’t drunk. During my time at the CPS and when Starmer was the DPP special teams were set up (RASSA units - Rape and Serious Sexual Assault) to deal with these cases more effectively. Another major change was to accept, in the first instance, that the alleged victim was telling the truth. Previously the onus was on them to provide convincing evidence to the police/CPS charging lawyer at the outset. This led to more cases entering the charging review stages with only those that subsequently failed to meet the evidential charging guidelines not going to court.
  7. I don’t know why you have an issue here. He has clearly done well for both NI and Sheffield Wednesday which is good for us, yes? Either we get a good player back now or in the summer or we get more money for him if we sell him. Personally I would have him back now in preparation for next season but given that none of us has a say in what will happen to him I won’t be losing any sleep over any decision taken.
  8. Cole Palmer also came through the Manchester City academy and he hasn’t done too badly has he?

Easier to throw abuse about rather than deal with the issue. It’s about your level sadly.

Did any one of the usual suspects kick off over the Lambeth child abuse a few years back? https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/paedophiles-filmed-attacks-at-town-hall-a4485411.html
  11. If we’re are looking objectively he is also a member of his international team and has the Manchester City pedigree, currently plying his trade in the Championship to get playing time for further development.

A great many of the perpetrators are already behind bars. The point here is that child sex abuse is a problem and hasn’t been dealt with effectively for many years. It isn’t just Asian rape gangs. As we know it is more likely to happen within families and it has also been endemic in the Christian church for years (not that you know it based on the outage here against one ethnicity whilst virtually ignoring another). If we are to believe that rape cases were ignored because the perpetrators were Muslims or of other Asian backgrounds, why were Christian abusers ignored for so long and why don’t the people who are very vocal about one not so vocal about the others?
  13. So Kemi Badenoch has now decided that the Asian grooming gangs issue is a national scandal. It is odd that it wasn’t such a big deal when her party was in power and it is odd, as it was a national scandal, that her party did absolutely nothing to implement the 20 action points from the last report. It seems that things are only a national scandal when you are desperate to deflect from your own incompetence and are desperate to score political points but have little to fight with. She talks about smearing British Muslims ignoring the fact that Jenrick does it on a regular basis. No support either for another female MP who has faced death threats following Musks racist and defamatory comments

No surprise that you choose to completely miss the point again. Anyway, haters are going to hate. Why don’t you ask why the Tory Party did absolutely nothing to implement the recommendations of the previous 7 year enquiry? So, Musk has already turned Twitter/X into a platform to disseminate far right propaganda, we now have Meta doing away with fact checking. You have to wonder what Trump has used to buy Zuckerberg off. Before the right wing apologists start having a pop again, the vast majority of stuff that appears on my phone is anti Starmer, anti Labour, anti Liberalism and pro right/alt right/far right politics. A political commentator made the point this morning that it is now very difficult to win an election with social media. Just let that sink in for a while given the way X and Meta are going.

I know that the forum Islamophobes will not bother to read this article, but it clearly explains the issues here and how the “Asian Rape Gang” label is being used as a weapon against certain racial/religious groups in this country. https://irr.org.uk/article/asian-grooming-gangs-media-state-and-the-far-right/

Again, I don’t want to get into the whole league placing thing but I am not a young man and cannot recall any one person who, as an unelected individual, caused so much consternation amongst so many foreign governments in such a short space of time as Elon Musk. Trump was the POTUS and will be again soon. Of course he has a bigger voice. That is what makes this so problematic. No one voted for Elon Musk.

It really doesn’t matter where this person ranks. He has a level of influence that should be worrying for anybody who cares about the abuse of power. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crmngpvv08lo.amp

I seem to recall the non elected Elon Musk having a major influence on President Zelensky’s defence of Ukraine when he pulled the satellite access. Not bad for someone whose influence is not that great.

When Lammy made his negative comments about Trump a while back I doubt if anyone in the US has a clue about them. Within hours of Musk making disparaging comments about Starmer, Phillips, Ed Davey or anyone else he decides that warrants a taste of his “free speech” it is not only front page news here but the whole of Europe gets full coverage too. He is Trump’s attack dog and there is a reason for that. He gets attention. Even the forum idiots roll out their laughing emojis in support of Musk.

For someone with no power he certainly seems to get his views heard on major news channels regularly. He might not currently have the power of a Putin or Trump, but he clearly has a loud voice and a wide opportunity to influence people. Don't underestimate the ability of people like him to feed the prejudices of those easily led by far right propaganda. There was a time not that long ago where clear lies and bullshit would make it past the news editors. Now they are broadcast regularly and get as much if not more attention to the truth. What is the old saying? A lie can be halfway around the world before the truth has got its shoes on?

Perhaps if he bothered to read the reports he would know the answer? Funny how Jenrick and others who are so angered about this now did bugger all about it when they were in power. Where was the fully comprehensive report that they now call for and why didn’t they implement the findings of their own report?
