http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/chelsea-midfielder-oriol-romeu-eager-work-under-jose-mourinho-open-new-loan-move-1505632 seems like he has a pretty good head, also. Honest about where he is at - knows that unless he has a blinding season, he won't be a regular at Chelsea. Keen to work hard.

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

sadly, quite a bit older -
only joking. But it was a nice pass. Actually thought barnes looked very good - hadn't seen a minute of him play until this game but thought he was a decent prospect

oh wow, I didn't realise at all. Not good news.

you....didn't agree? better than I could have done and anything that's better than I could have done, is definitely phenomenal

this is in no way indicative of anything, anytime, but: bought virgil on fifa. freaking incredible. Reminds me of naldo at wolfsburg - just an utter beast of muscle and presence. He's become my first choice. Out of interest, if anyone cares, I managed to get this team on fifa 2015 together just using January transfer window, (I didn't use the option to do 1st summer window signings), not too shabby at all: Forster Bertrand Virgil Fonte Van der Wiel Schneiderlin Wanyama Matteo Darmian Mane Rodriguez Lacazette -
he played u21's though..... and the assist he gave for barnes first goal was absolutely phenomenal

I thought newcastle were excellent. haidara was quality at left back, thought we were lucky as obertan wasn't quite up to scratch. Had he been, and given cedric on a yellow/replaced by martina, could easily have conceeded another down the left. Wijlnaldum had a stormer - exactly the kind of player in some ways saints need in midfield! Thought Colback and him completely overrun midfield. We had lots of wing play with cedric (much less so with targett) and mane/tadic, and I noticed davis regularly went out wide, but that left the midfield quite a bit exposed and that's where on sunday newcastle were strongest. For me, Clasie or more likely the non-injured Reed in that role instead of Davis, who has a tendency to drift forward (to be fair, he's shipped around across the midfield/right so he's fairly used to being in the action up front), would have been better. I think Wanyama just had to mop up so many times - actually quite a few times helping out in the back right corner when targett was struggling ! - for defense/all over midfield, that there was often a hole in front of the back four. Thought Mane looked brilliant, as did Pelle. Targett looked a little shell shocked, while Steklenburg was great. I tipped Stekkers with tekkers (you're welcome) for my fantasy league team as I think he'll have a great return-to-form season.

Fair enough, if it's only one year.

is this true? Wow.

this thread title sounds like the beginning of an epic song to sing when playing arsenal at home

Post-Match Reaction: SAINTS 3-0 Vitesse Arnhem - Europa League R3

To be fair mate, I reckon you're not alone with the spelling. He must have had an absolute nightmare trying to learn how to spell that beast of a surname in primary school -

Just casually throwing in there 'that Polish dude' who happens to be worth about 25 million. Unless saints pull one out the biggest, most unforseen bag in the history of football, that ain't gonna happen bruv -
wanyama has been, an utter machine in midfield and defense today.
-
I agree....can't nail down why though....almost looks like he's not very up for it or that it's above his level. strange.

this thread makes me feel all uncomfortable ...you can probably tell the category I'm in....

sadly in today's world, it's more likely to be a selfie stick than a sword

Was surprised to see Toby is only 16/1 to score on Skybet. Would have thought the odds were a bit longer than that.... ---

Yup. I also like how he said there just isn't any pressure from their side. Sounds like they know their targets, they've watched them / know that their personality and attitude would fit into saints team, have the money available and are in a strong position to negotiate to get our priority signings. ...which actually doesn't surprise me being a saints fan, but it's just good to know they are very optimistic about the summer. I think they're over toby situation and are now just pressing on with getting a replacement in. shuts up a lot of posters here about how behind the scenes it's panic and we're all over the place with bids/signings. Even Caulker, Reed said he'd been looking at him for years (when he was still at Spurs probably), and know that he's got the skills that just need the right environment to be nurtured and developed, rather than this being a panic emergency signing after the toby/gardos affair

best post ever

I really don't know much about him, other than if there's one position on the pitch I can trust Koeman's judgement on, it's CB
