People (often dumpy woman in middle management whose tiny little bit of power has gone to their head) always seem to say "I'm good but I'm not that good". Gets right on my tits, mainly because almost everyone that says it isn't good at all their s**t at whatever it is their claiming to be good at. If your actually good, then people will realise without having to be told every 5 minutes. Cvnts!!!

Ive been trying to remember a players name all day from the circa 2008 era. As i remember we took a youngish (i think) left back on trial / few reserve games following him leaving dorchester or some other non-league team. The general consensus on here at the time was "theres no harm in having a look, but we should be aiming a lot higher". Cant remember his name and its doing my swede in, does anyone else remember this happening / remember his name or am i going mad???

Cant help thinking that a game against our under-21 squad would be far more useful to Eastleigh in terms of preparing for the coming season. Losing heavily to a Championship team would be far less useful a competitive game. IMO the crowd (and therefore revenue) for this game would be far less than if we send a team of "big" names which is where the issue is really.

At the beginning of the season i certainly didnt think that we would reach the playoffs, and would have snapped your hand off if youd have offered 7th place and winning the JPT. 1st seasons are never easy especially with new manager / new squad (of the team that started V carlisle only 2 were at Saints last season) / points deduction and no pre-season. Without -10 would b in the playoffs which would have been an exceptional season taking above into account. Season def been better than i expected

At Salisbury Tommy Widdrington ensured that the club went into admin the day that they got to 10 points, thus when the deduction was made they went back to 0. He thought tht not seeing the team on minus points was good for the players psychologically. Would this have made a difference at Saints? Thoughts?

bristol rovers are "in talks" with saints regarding a season-long loan for lee holmes, the major sticking point being that they cannot afford his wages, and are only prepared to pay 50/50 - in the region of saints paying 2 grand and BR paying 2 grand per week. Incidently my source has also told me that BR only recieved £230,000 upfront for RL, the rest to be paid in installments.

if we accept that we cannot appeal and the Pinnacle deal goes through, can we then take the FL to court claiming that the no right to appeal the 10-point deduction was illegal? Dunno the legal stuff, just a thought...
