A replica t-shirt that fit perfectly 10 years ago, but not so much now. It's all in the details!

way to step on your dicks, Saints. We win that game tonight and the table stands as below with 3 matches left: Everton 32 (next match - City) Leicester 30 (next match - Liverpool) Leeds 30 (next match - Newcastle) Forest 30 (next match - Chelsea) Saints 27 (next match - Fulham) lots of losable matches for our rivals, but we cant win, so the argument is moot.. but still...
-
Forest have scored 10 goals in their last 4 matches. Wonder what that is like!
-
it's probably best for him and the club if he moves on. in this 9 match stretch where we needed to push for survival he has been MIA 1 goal (and that was a penalty kick) 0 assists 3 total points
-
needless to say... when you have 13 matches left in a relegation battle, getting 3 points from 27 in the first 9 matches is not a recipe for staying up. our survival was there for the taking and we did not seize it.

March 6th - 8 matches ago. Since then.. Saints - 3 points Cherries - 15 points Fair play to Bournemouth. They had the kind of wake up call we all hoped our club would have. Didn't happen.
-
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/ 97% chance of relegation.
-
it's pretty simple.. get 3 points and we gain on at least 2 (possibly 3) of our 4 relegation rivals. This matchweek results.. Leeds D Forest W Leicester D Everton ? If we win tonight, i think May 8th is going to be a momentous day - either lightness or darkness. Fulham vs Leicester Brighton vs Everton Nottingham Forest vs. Southampton
-
yep.. it's in our interest that neither Leeds nor Leicester pull away. It is still a 5 team race. Better that only 2 points got awarded from that match, and not 3.
-
we paid £15m for Adam Armstrong who scored 28 goals in his last Championship season with Blackburn. Tella has 17 goals. Maybe inflation gets him to £20m. Maybe. Is Tella more of an Armstrong or more of a Toney? Time will tell.

Just 1 win can do it. Leicester out of the bottom 3.
-
The ball went right between JWP’s legs on the pass into the box on that 3rd goal. Actually on that 3rd goal, it went between JWP’s first, then the shot went between Lycano’s legs, and then the rebounded shot went between ABK’s legs. brilliant.
-
yes, and believe it or not, we have no goal threat at all with Che out. Let that sink in. (Adams out in the last 3 matches - 1 goal scored during that time)
-
Glass half full… The three teams above us all lost. Glass half empty… the three teams above us all lost. what a wasted opportunity this weekend.
-
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/soccer-predictions/premier-league/ i think that is that... 92% chance of going down.
-
haha.. no kidding.. others around us are giving us plenty of opportunities to climb out of this hole, but we are not capable of taking advantage. feels like we have been 4 points away from safety for months now.. we'll probably end up 4 points off
-
I doubt it. If anything, he was likely told the job is his if he keeps us up. but he is not up for it, and neither are the players.
-
if Everton, Leicester, and Saints go down that has got to be some sort of record for the most collective consecutive seasons in the top tier for the 3 relegated teams.
-
I swear, if Marsch pulls Leicester over the line, I am going to lose my shit. we had him, and haggled over stupid things.
-
and yet we had 6 players on the pitch who were part of our transfer strategy: Bazuna, ABK. AMN, Lavia, Alcaraz, and Sulemana We have bought player after player after player (14 of them) and barely any of them have the look of a premiere league player or have made a positive impact. In fact, we have gotten worse.
-
When is Che going to be fit? It’s a bit of a sad state of affairs, but we are really missing him on the pitch.
-
Amazing how one result just changes dramatically things right now. IF we had beat West Ham, we would be in 18th and they would be in 20th. but West Ham is in 15th and we are 20th. i know... if, if, if.
-
my optimism is dwindling, as we are a bit adrift, but the way the table is bunched up, i keep holding out hope. Leeds (currently in 13th place) is a great example of the crazy table movement that can happen with just 1 to 2 wins. Of course, you have to win to make this happen and this team doesn't appear to have it in them. I keep hoping something clicks and we'll go on this magical run, but i likely am being naive.
