Liverpool and Sheff United are the only clubs we have beaten since December 7th.
-
i am going to be a bit more optimistic and say 42 points wins - Burnley, West Brom (6 points) draws - Leeds, Fulham, Palace (3 points) losses - Spurs, Liverpool, West Ham, Leicester
-
Did we even do that in injury time? When the whistle blew we were in the process of completing another back pass.
-
Brighton on Sunday is a pretty big 6 pointer. A win gets us to 36 points and would put us 10 points clear of the relegation zone with 9 matches left.
-
Newcastle better hope to pick up some points in the next three, because after that, they have a brutal stretch. Spurs (8) Burnley (15) West Ham (4) Liverpool (6) Arsenal (10) Leicester (3) City (1) before closing out with Shef United and Fulham.
-
So we just need Newcastle to pull a : Swansea 2018

Remember last season when we said "Boy, where would we be without Ings goals?!" Well we are getting our answer now. in this 9 game winless streak, Ings has scored 1 goal. His performance in the last season and a half had evidently papered over a lot of cracks. If you want to be even more cynical - 2018/2019 - Ings 7 goals (16th place | 39 points) 2019/2020 - ings 22 goals (11th place | 52 points) 2020/2021 - Ings 8 goals (14th place | 30 points) - SO FAR you could argue the team had been static the last 3 years with Danny's one stellar year & half being the only real difference maker. Southampton goes, as Danny goes.

Getting busy in the PL For the next 15 days, there are only 3 days without a scheduled match.
-
with injuries we have had this season, does Ralph (or anyone else) know our preferred formation/starting XI if every player was available? i assume preferred formation is 4-2-2-2, but who goes where is a big mystery (debates for sure on GK, CB, MF, maybe even striker pairing)
-
circle the date.. 12-05-21 a true six pointer
-
Does he know if Ings has plans to score any more goals while at Saints?
-
Saints know they are playing a team with 9 men and down a goal, right?
-
the club/players don't need last Tuesday's score define them. Guess what? 8 other teams didn't get any points on Tuesday and Wednesday either : West Brom, Arsenal, Newcastle, Burnley, Fulham, Leeds, Villa and Liverpool. point differential this season , with the points we currently have, isn't really going to be a factor. we aren't ready for Europe and we aren't getting relegated.
-
who is Tchaptchet? I guess i am a not a super supporter.
-
yeah, my apologies, i fouled that all up. Miramino played in Austria, not Germany.
-
time will tell. couldnt get any playing time at Liverpool Ralph should be very aware of him from his Bundesliga days. Looked back at his Red Bull Salzburg stats....was expecting a bit more productivity considering Liverpool made a move for him a year ago. can he plan left or right back?
-
well, he got his first PL minutes tonight late which is interesting, i guess.
-
Are we not smack dab in the middle of the PL table on the backs of the players you dont rate as PL standard? Yeah, i wish they were more consistent, but if they were, they would be playing for Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs in the blink of an eye.

If we are sticking with a 4-2-2-2 --------------McCarthy-------------- KWP-Bednerek-Vestergaard-Bertrand --------Romeu-------JWP------------- ------Armstrong-------Redmond------ -----------Ings------Adams------------ If we want to shake things up and get our best players on the pitch (Adams has disappointed in the 2nd quarter of the season) --------------McCarthy-------------- KWP-Bednerek-Vestergaard-Bertrand -----Diallo-----Romeu-------JWP---- ----Armstrong---Ings---Redmond---

The good posters no longer post here and you can see why...

predicted 17th place 10 years in a row. was right once and boy did he crow about it. -
https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php we have 10 players out, most in the league.
-
pretty much agree with this assessment. For me the defense is fine; creativity and finishing in the final third is worrying. last 6 matches.... Arsenal (a) 1-1 City (h) 0-1 Fulham (a) 0-0 West Ham (a) 0-0 Liverpool (h) 1-0 Leicester (a) 2-0 that is 2 GF (worst 6 match form in the league) that is 4 GA (T-4th best 6 match form in the league)

Shots/“Back passes” to their keeper ain’t gonna cut it.
