Its hard to think of a worst managed business strategy. From 'this is happening from August' to complete collapse in 48 hours. !!!! It's surprising these owners and their CEO's have the wit to dress themselves in the morning.
-
BBC hearing from well placed source 2 of the twelve clubs are already getting cold feet. Man U and RM the driving force behind this, and the three american owned english clubs are determined to do this.
-
It's about having a competition that would interest tv enough to cough up enough money to keep the likes of us, Wolves, Villa etc going and still be an open competition with promotion and relegation.
-
If this goes ahead, competition for a top four place in the Premiership will be lost, thus so will interest from TV, and that means a lot less money for clubs like ours. The value of SFC will then be dramatically reduced, and Gao will be owing millions on a club not worth the mortgage. So while the big 6 get bigger we and clubs like ours will not only get poorer we could go bust. Our best bet is to throw them out of the Premier League and invite Rangers, Celtic, Ajax, Feyenoord to replace them.

Just keep it respectable that's all I ask. I'd take a 4 - 0 loss.

Good question, what did happen to those guys?

Are things much worse inside the Club than we think?
Morse replied to CanadaSaint's topic in The Saints
We've recently borrowed £78.8m from a bank at 9.14%. And we have an owner who has not and will not put his hand in his pocket. I think we are in big difficulties. -
There is a lot Ralph cant control, like a player getting sent off after 2 minutes, and Mike Dean being an utter tool. But a team should know what to do in a bad situation to stop it getting out of hand. Most teams do, it's why 9-0's are so rare. Once is embarrassing twice is negligent.
-
Being 2 up flattered us a bit, but once you are 2 up conceding 3 is a crime. When Man U are stepping it up second half why doesn't Ralph take off Walcott and pack out the midfield and make it difficult ??? When you have the lead but the opposition is in the ascendancy kill the game off.

So billionaire owner of football club, and his CEO who is paid £7m a year, pay on average £70k a week to playing staff. But in a time of national crisis, the billionaire owner and the multimillionaire CEO lay off their staff so that the tax payer can pay their wages. Football has become one sick puppy.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m
Morse replied to The Odd Guy's topic in The Saints
What is all this talk about Reed Bull? Is there any evidence at all that Red Bull want to buy an english club? Any 'Saints fan' who is happy about a corporate take over of our club and see it remained RB Southampton is not a real Saints fan, and should fook off and support Liverpool with all the the other plastic fans. SOUTHAMPTON 'TILL I DIE -

If Red Bull buy us fine. If we become RB Southampton they can shove it up their Austrian arse. I would rather watch Saints in the National league South playing Waterlooville than support a corporate franchise club. -
Appropriate and welcome.

No. End of.

Burnley - Well organised, will sit back - Draw Villa - unorganised rabble- Saints win West H - We'll be their easiest game for a month - Saints lose Newcastle - Should have beaten them once already - Saints win Norwich - play good football at home - Draw. Total. 8 points.

String a few results together and the board take it as an opportunity to put the cheque book back in their pocket. The sooner we can shake off this chinese owner and his hopeless CEO the better.
-
At his very best he was bang average. I'm not in the least bit sad to see him go except our penny pinching board have not replaced him with anyone better or worse.
-
Portsmyth at home would be lots of fun.
-
Yes. We should be shooting towards the Northam second half. And the away support should be put into the corner.
-
Reality check. We are lightweights
-
Utter bell-ends
-
The club is staffed and run by people who don't give a toss about the supporters. Our away allocations particularly for Leicester, Palace and Liverpool are disgraceful and show a club uninterested in its fans. As for giving Spurs so many tickets ffs!!!! That's suppose to help the team is it !!!!! Tossers.

He might eventually score, but he's never going to be a top premiership striker. If getting rid of him means we have funds to buy a full back or centre back then sell him. I'm all for giving people a chance, but I'd rather give a chance to a new defender that we could buy with the proceeds. (I always had my doubts about when we had absolutely no competition for his signature from other Premiership clubs.)

Ings aside, Armstrong has been the player of the season so far

Congratulations
