We are down, no doubt about that. Our last chance of changing that outcome disappeared when SR failed to sack RM at the last international break, even then i doubt SR's ability to appoint a decent replacement. BUT it would be good to avoid the record for lowest ever points tally, which I believe stands at 12.

There are many things I don't understand. One of those things is why SR extended RM's contract in the summer. Promoted via the backdoor so to speak, unproven in the top flight and little chance of a better offer from another club! Why tie the club to someone we might want to off load if we're struggling?
-
He is a gift to every manager who's team we play. No need for them to be cautious and work out what we'll do, they know. Well play out from the back. All they need to do is keep a high line and put pressure on, and wait for the inevitable individual errors. I think it was Bristol City last season who first worked us out, now it's just too easy for whoever we play.
-
No premiership side has conceded as many goals from individual errors as us. Those errors are caused by the opposition pressuring our back line as we try to play out from the back again. Until RM can at least mix it up a bit and make the opposition stop and think we might just play it long, we'll keep shipping goals from errors. And there is no sign that RM can or will change. Plenty more brave but ultimately fruitless games coming up until we're relegated probably by March.

Should Dragan Šolak remove Rasmus Ankersen from the SFC board?
Morse replied to Dark Munster's topic in The Saints
If I were Dragan, Rasmus would be out the door, his feet not touching the ground. But on second thoughts, If I were Dragan, I wouldn't have been taken in by Rasmus and his bollox in the first place. Friends, fellow Saints, we are lions led by donkeys. -
The biggest question is not when or even if SR sack Martin, it's when Dragan Solak looses patience with Rasmus Ankerson and co. It's they who sold him the plan, and it's his money draining away. As a self made Billionaire I presume he has some awareness of mugs trying to fleece him.
-
Ramsdale, THB, Fernandes and Dibling will all be sold, probably £80-100m there; which SR will spaff on a coach load of 17-18yo wingers who will never see the light of day. It's the Rasmus way.
-
We need another poll titled 'Should Rasmus Ankerson be moved on' (NB: before anyone claims he can't be as he's on the board etc, he can. Dragan Solak put in most if not all the equity, and with it has the final say on pretty much everything if he chooses)

Former Saints caretaker manager and long ball enthusiast Dave Bassett is available. It would be like a breath of fresh air to see us just 'chuck it in the mixer'.

On this subject, and until I get another three posts tomorrow, Derry speaks for me.

Wolves v Saints like two bald men fighting over a comb.
-
I expect to lose 0-2, but to be honest that's an irrelevant statistic. What's matters is possession stats, I'm looking at 70-75%; and attitude, I thinking 'brave'.
-
Like him or hate him is irrelevant, I don't think he's a very good manager and as such should be replaced. However, I have no faith in SR replacing him with anyone better, and it's SR who are the bigger curse on our club at the moment.
-
By any metric you care to apply, Sport Republic have been abysmal owners. The whole outfit seems rudderless. Bizarre managerial appointments, millions spent on players that never play, a director of football leaves and isn't replaced, and now talk of a mystical 10 year plan, the desired outcome of which is never explained. Dragon needs to bin off the Danish clowns, ditch the foreign clubs and get back to basics with a new off field team.
-
We were lucky to get promoted last season. We've got little chance of doing it again next season while the clowns from Sport Republic are in charge. They are a far bigger threat to our club than Russel Martin.
-
Does anyone really trust SR to get a new managerial appointment right even if they do sack RM? Bevcause their track record of managerial appointments is beyond bad, and their pool to choose from gets smaller with every defeat.
-
Martin is confident of keeping his job after a meeting with the club’s owner Dragan Solak Asked if he felt under pressure, Martin said: “I had a brilliant chat with Dragan and the guys at a scheduled board meeting yesterday, so no.”
-
We're shit. There are three reasons why we are shit. Sacking RM adresses one problem. But we'll still have one of the weakest squads in the Premier league (problem 2), and we have muppets appointing managers and buying players (problem 3)
-
If fail to win then Russ Martin should be sacked before he gets back to the changing room. (And Rasmus Ankerson should be given a wedgy before being banned for life from SMS)
-
A new manager picking the right players to play in the right positions, and getting the ball forward quicker, might be enough to see us scrape 17th place. But until we sort out our laughable recruitment department, no manager is going to flourish at SMS.
-
The only question the board needs to ask itself is whether to sack RM now or after the Arsenal game. And the only question Dragan needs to ask himself is whether he wants Rasmus and co involved in recruiting the replacement.
-
RM is clearly out of his depth and needs to be replaced. However, when a team is as poor as us it's rarely down to the manager alone. Our recruitment has been atrocious this season and last.

Russ is not going to learn and incapable of change. I'd give him 2 more games and if we're still on 0 points sack him.
