  1. Not for me. That would be the step too far. You can take the corporate crap and shove it up your soulless backsides. If it were to happen I would take what spare sheckles I have under the bed, and with the aid of crowd funding start a new Southampton FC, wearing red and white stripes, and owned by people from our community. In fact thinking about it come on Red Bull do your worst.
  2. To stand any chance of staying up we need 12 points from that lot. Not sure its going to happen.
  3. Next 7 are properly make or break... Watford H Norwich H Newcastle A West Ham H Aston Villa A Chelsea A Crystal Palace H
  4. Even when we play better than we have all season, even when we're on the cusp of a great victory, this team just ends up disappointing you. Utter bell- ends
  5. It's not the beer that's done that, it's the 'Class A' you sprinkled on your cornflakes this morning.
  6. This exactly. We have few enough heros as it is. LM won us our only ever trophy. And established us as a top flight club when doing so was done by clever coaching and guile rather than relying on a foreign owner laundering money. I dont begrudge him moving on, fir me he always will be a Saints legend.
  7. I thought we were back to Alexander Boris de Piffel Johnson again. LOL.
  8. Or give it to Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson (sic) who could just lie to us all that we're really heading for the Champions League.
  9. I'm with you 100% Eric. A football club is about the community it represents not some corporate crap. I would rather follow Southampton FC is the National league than Red Bull Southampton in the Premiership. Unarguable fact.
  10. Signed. Statue, ambassadors role all good. don't want a stand named after him as i like the geographical relevance of the current names.
  11. With respect that is Cortese's version of events, and he would say that wouldn't he. The truth is significantly different. Marcus wanted to invest in football club, one of his advisors spoke to Cortese, a banker with a background in sports investments, a number of clubs were shortlisted, Cortese was involved in the negotiations and stayed on after. Marcus set the ball rolling not Cortese. If he is despised one reason would be the rewriting of history to make himself look good. NB: 6 years out of the game and nobody has seen fit to employ him despite AC Milan and others desperate for his 'midas touch'
  12. Good luck to him, he did a good job. I wish he and the Echo could have been a bit more critical of the club when criticism was needed, but I guess when they rely so much on the goodwill of players, managers and chairmen you can't be too honest.
  13. Djenepo McCarthy____Vestergaard____Stephens____Bednarak____Gunn Ward-Prouse________Romeu________Hojbjerg Boufal______Ings
  14. "Hasselhuttle has all thre right skills", really? The evidence suggests otherwise. With largely the same squad, the previous two managers managed to avoid the worst ever home start to a season and a record defeat. However I agree we do have to stop sacking managers and look at the team. Our policy of buying young players in the £15m pound bracket with the sole aim to sell them on to bigger clubs doesn't work and has led us to this position more than any other factor. There have been seasoned, experienced players available for free had the club abandoned their crazy policy. Had we signed Cahill in the summer I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be where we are. Now some will point to his lack of re-sale value and his apparent £90K a week salary. But do the sums, 2 years of £90k a week comes to just over £9m, now compare that to the millions written off on players out on loan or sitting warming a bench. And you get a mentor for the young players thrown in for free. Laurie Mac made a career of this policy.
  15. I agree too. Seems like a rare moment of mong board unity. So if we can all see what needs doing why the **** cant Ralph
  16. Simply because she is now the minor partner and apparently wants to off load her remaining 20% . Gao with his 80% is calling the shots.
  17. Not if they're embarrassing the Government and want to continue living ' succesfully' in China there aren't. If you know of any please give examples.
  18. I think Ms Liebherr is pretty irrelevant, Gaos the problem and the main shareholder.
  19. What you talking about ' four year legal battle'? That would be probate. I've had a two bedroom semi in Eastleigh take the best part of two years to go through probate.
  20. Those are truly abysmal stats. There are some things we could do to help home form apart from an entire new back four and midfield. Stop making SMS so ****ing hospitable to visiting players and fans. Stick visiting fans right in the corner. Stop kicking towards visiting fans second half. Stop printing a programme specifically for visiting fans. Put 10mm of water over visiting dressing room floor, **** in the beer sold to visiting fans. Stop referring to SFC as a 'family club', makes us sound like a club from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Just a few ideas to be going along with.
  21. I agree with you completely about the coaching staff, it beggars belief that we have goalkeepers coaching anything but goalkeepers, but despite that Ralph is making too many errors playing players out of position, keeping 3 central defenders on the pitch when chasing the game yesterday, playing our only creative midfielder at right wing back etc etc etc, he has to go.
  22. I simply don't understand the personal abuse of Katarina Liebherr. She inherited various business from her father when he died, and not surprisingly she didn't want to own or run them so sold them to the highest bidder. End of. Anybody would do the same. If Markus had a grand plan he wanted continuing after his death, which I seriously doubt, he should have left the club in trust. As a billionaire I'm sure he wasn't short of decent lawyers for advice. But he didn't, he left it to his daughter along with the engineering companies and she sold them. Good for her.
  23. Sadly I dont think it will be Ralph. Silva I think.
  24. While we've got our pitch forks out and sharpened why has our CEO Martin Semmin (?) been spared? It's his job to oversee the smooth running if the club including making the right appointments at the right time. As I understand it his qualification to the job was running a small advertising agency!!!
  25. I'm not condoning his behaviour but if you took a job as an electrician say, and then your boss made you do plumbing, and everyone was having a pop at you because you're not a great plumber, it would not he surprising if you were upset.
