  1. First goal Kelvin looked like a schoolboy, no commanding presence, he's just so small compared to FF. He's never commanded his area so it was always going to happen if they kept banging in the crosses. Handball though, but we are Southampton, and that $hit happens to us all the time so not surprised. Too slow to move his feet for the second, and a lack of anticipation - he was so close to his near post it was obvious Chadli would shoot across him but he wasn't ready. Agreed, Yoshida should've done better too but Kelvin was too slow to react. What has happened to Steven Davis? From being an unsung hero for much of the season he's now turning into Jermaine Wright, God help us!!
  2. That doesn't make it acceptable, but I take your point. Refs give him a lot outside the penalty area, but rarely if ever inside. Getting a reputation I think.
  3. Would have been a comfortable win had it not been for Steven Davis. Should have had a hattrick, got none and was very poor again. Kelvin should've done better with both Spurs goals, just got old and his reflexes are not up to Prem standard (never really were tbf). We were the better team overall, but Mane has to stop diving, and (paradoxically) refs have to start giving us more decisions so its not neccessary to. 4-1 would have been a fair reflection.
  4. Dependent on us getting top 4 and whether Man Utd do, or they sell De Gea, IF we are in a position to offer wages then how about a season long loan of Victor Valdes? He's sitting third choice there and IF we get into Champs League then… stranger things have happened.
  5. Koeman did mention the potential suspension as one reason he didn't start Vic in the post match interview on radio Solent.
  6. Like the first time you saw the ocean, the first time you saw snow, the first time you got your brown wings, the first time you find a poster on this forum that you admire! Boomshanka Bearsy.
  7. Beaten by a wonder goal in first minute but were the better team throughout. WE HAVE BEEN UNLUCKY, its not that our players have suddenly become sh1t overnight. Pelle's hit the woodwork 6 times, we've been denied clear penalties by sh1t refs, and not given a lot of other decisions. "Twas ever thus" with Saints over the years. It doesn't even out over the season, if it did Man Utd wouldn't have won the league as much as they have. BUT, we have the best manager and squad for over 30 years and on Tuesday night we have to roar the team and manager on to a win. Negativity and pessimism spreads like a cancer and does no-one any good - just reading this thread is proof of that. Sorry I'm not falling in line with the mood of slating everyone and everything but that has never helped us in the past and won't help now. Pelle needs his confidence back and we know that if the fans really get behind him (not on his back) he'll get back to his best, as we've seen before when he finally got his first goal, then rest came quick. Yes, we lost, but win on Tuesday and it all changes again! Have a great Saturday night all, see you at St Mary's on Tuesday!
  8. Deep breaths, all is not lost. Koeman has only made one solitary mistake as our manager so far - that was getting in two wingers in January rather than a winger and a striker. Forgive him, I'm sure he's aware of it. Problem today, more noticeable than previous matches when he hasn't scored, is that Pelle isn't working hard enough. Came off the pitch without sweating and should get grief for the cardinal sin of not having dirty knees (in Sunday League you'd get battered for that!).
  9. We're going to win this, still time and we're the better team. Have faith! Or something I'm having!
  10. Well, now seems a good time to make my first ever post, so greetings madhouse! What a result!!! So many times I've seen us play up there and get nothing, ofter deservedly, but today we deserved to win and did - despite the crowd and the ref. Did Pelle get a single decision today?! Great result, great team, boys became men etc… but seriously its the first time in this old boys time that I'm scarily beginning to believe!
