A Uruguayan would pronounce it "Kas-air-ez" I believe (with the first being a soft 's')
-
May have missed this, but does anyone in the club speak Italian?
-
Cedric is having a great game
-
Ice Hockey too - 82 games a season (often back to back games) in a sport that is much more physical and demanding than Football - they seem to manage fairly well
-
Not rating Forster of late, can't seem to shot-stop very well atm - anyone know when McCarthy is back? Might be worth giving him a few starts (when healthy), send a message to Forster, might get him back to form. Also, Boufal looked to be finding his feet - always looked forward, was all over Snodgrass, and played some good balls. Furthermore, despite being a fan of his to start with, Clasie is struggling I think, very limited for me. Yoshida was solid at right back but, as is probably to be expected from a centre-back, he literally is unable to put a good ball in - will be good to get Cedric back I think As frustrating as this result was, I am not overly worried - I think we will finish mid-table (8th - 12th), with good results in cups - realistically this is a good season. All in all, i think we will be ok, sh*t happens, can't get too hung up on this result
-
Boufal's alright tbh

Ralph Krueger; "The most interesting man in the world".

I thought Team Europe were awesome and felt sure that it would go to Game 3 - but Price came up big for Canada (which pleases me as a Canadiens fan). Krueger appears to have severely enhanced his rep across the pond - I wonder if his next job is as a GM?? -

Think that Team Europe look a very good team tbh - Ralph has done well to get the mixture of players going -

Hockey and Football are my preferred sports - This 'World Cup' is more of a showcase/preseason tournament for the best players in the world rather than a serious world cup (The best players don't tend to compete at the world championships). Team Europe exists because there are a few decent players scattered around Europe whose nations aren't good enough to compete with the big teams, so they created Team Europe. Team North America, in case you are interested, is made up of players from Canada and North America who are under 23, of which there are quite a few damn good players. But yeah, more of a showcase than anything, but pretty big for Ralph who is well respected within the hockey world. Will be super to watch. -
I'll bite - what makes you better at this than literally anyone else ever?
-
Pied, I think
-
IIRC we were linked with Romanian striker Florin Andone - think he has held his own so far in that team, with little service

Apologies for the double post and dismal attempt at editing..

Do we expect a new manager to be appointed quickly after confirmation of Koeman's departure or do we think it will be a week(s)? Obviously we will have other managers lined up, but will it go through quickly or do we expect to have to wait?
-
So having asked the Sevilla forum if they think there is any chance of Emery coming to Saints, the overwhelming consensus was that he would rather stay and manage Sevilla, or take a big club, like Atletico, or Milan. I think they are right. Shame.
-
I honestly don't believe Emery will end up here. He has champions league football at Sevilla, and has lucrative offers if reports are to be believed. I have just posted in the Sevilla foro, and immediately one suggested that they think Emery will stay in Sevilla - they also noted that Emery doesn't necessarily play 'attractive' football, rather he plays a very defensive game, with wingers acting as wing backs. One individual also registered his admiration for Shane Long and Jordy Clasie interestingly. But yeah, I suspect Emery will end up elsewhere, which is a great shame.
-
My thinking exactly - whilst it would be a significant blow to lose RK, I suspect we have another 'average' manager lined up, just waiting to become the next Koeman/Poch

Bournemouth 2-0 Saints - Post Match Meltdown

Austin out for "several weeks" to top it all off -
completely agree

10 goals in 16 apparently

Spent a bit of time in Argentina recently and would consider it my second country - completely agree about desire and passion. I was there during the world cup, and follow the domestic league and am a huge fan. Though I do think that this league is a step up, there are plenty of players who have made that step, and South America is one of the greatest sources of huge talent. Personally think there is the odd player in the top division there who could go on to be good premier league players

Brilliant defence from Romeu there - tracking back, quality tackle, draws a foul
