  1. Tadic is also struggling in the Eredivisie at the moment. He and Daley Blind are supposed to be the leaders of Ajax but they were completely lost in Rotterdam last sunday as Feyenoord thrashed them: 6-2! People are getting fed up with Tadic whining when someone touches him...
  2. I had the idea you were a part of the USA already... [video=youtube_share;1osdqwaiu08]
  3. Can’t speak for other European countries but in the Netherlands people are concerned with what’s happening in British politics right now. Not just because of the 450 billion in investments in the UK or job losses in the fishing industry and so on but also what will happen to families and friends in the UK. There are also people who think it’s ridiculous that the EU is willing to take such a risk by not giving in a little more. Merkel&co underestimated the danger of a no deal Brexit back in 2016 and now they’re doing it again. How can they be willing to accept that the UK is going to be in a complete chaos with all the consequences for the other European countries? Of course there are also europhiles who see the sunny side of the mess in the UK: “at least there’s no more talk of a Nexit”.
  4. Question is if all the other 27 countries will go along when the UK wants to extend article 50. As the majority of European companies are not prepared for any kind of Brexit, it would make sense for both the EU and the UK to postpone in order to have less economic damage. Yet we hear the EU is only willing to postpone when May assures there will be a second referendum or GE. Just hardball tactics or is the EU really willing to damage it’s own economy just to teach the UK a lesson?
  5. Could be but there's not much time left. But all for the people right?
  6. Fwiw, according to the Dutch news May will survive the confidence vote and Corbyn will then support a second referendum as his party wishes. This would mean an extension of article 50 (as there isn’t enough time left to implement some law and 10 weeks for campaigning) which all of the 27 other European countries should accept. They will only do so when May can assure there will be another referendum. I didn’t hear anything about countries not willing to help May with this but it wouldn’t surprise me when Italy or Hungary are going to be partypoopers. I wonder: when there won’t be a second referendum and a ‘no deal’ is not accepted by parliament, can the government or parliament decide there won’t be a brexit at all and the UK stays in the EU?
  7. You’ll need five Belgians. One to hold the bulb and four to turn around the table he’s standing on.
  8. Though every European has to deal with clowns at every side of the political spectrum, clearly the UK wins this contest. One might even get to think a federal Europe would be a better solution...
  9. Don't know if it is the same in England but in the Netherlands even the mainstream left wing politicians are now convinced immigration from Eastern Europe has to be controlled as there are too many coming in. Back in the day politicians expected 30 to 40.000 immigrants from Poland etc. who would eventually return to their home countries, we have more than 400.000 of them now and they're here to stay. Many of them don't integrate, they won't learn to speak the language, have their own shops and don't mingle with Dutch citizens. So after all the immigrants from Morocco and Turkey who can't get along in Dutch society, we're creating a new disaster with a new underclass. I could tell you about the riots in small towns who are fed up with drunken Poles etc. but the biggest problem is that these Eastern Europeans offer cheap labour for employers as those don't have to pay for things like a pension or social security due to shadowy employment contracts. This means that low skilled work (truck drivers, shop workers, plumbers, painters and so on) goes more and more to Eastern Europeans while unskilled Dutch, Moroccans, Turks have to claim social security benefits. The Dutch government has repeatedly asked the EU to stop this situation but they refuse...
  10. Like I said, you’re all screwed. It’s not going to help to keep whining Dr. Doom...
  11. Cheer up Dr. Doom, you Brits know how to survive. Sharing your potatoes with someone less fortunate will give you a wonderful feeling. Just think of it: everyone sharing what little they have left, maybe you’ll all find comfort in that and who knows, maybe these dark ages will unite the citizens again.
  12. Yup, you're all totally screwed... On a positive note: these are exiting times and we're going to witness one of the biggest failures or comebacks in recent history. That's something worthwile, isnt it?
  13. Hmm, Germany deciding where to deploy "their" troops, not a great idea Shurlock, as if plan B of the nazi's is finally implemented. But no need to worry, most members of the EU are against a European army and want to decide themselves wether their soldiers have to go somewhere so it won't happen. Just like we won't get a European Minister of Finance or a European tax for every citizen. Macron & Merkel cs. should stop dreaming as it is clear that a supranational union they long for is very far away: fascists in the government in Italy and Austria, Eastern Europeans with bad memories of being ruled by another union in the past, Merkel's party CDU losing ground in Germany, Le Pen leading the polls in France at the moment, the sentiment against the current EU is rapidly rising across almost all of Europe while the economies in most countries are growing. Imagine what will happen when the next financial crisis comes and the unemployment figures start rising again...
  14. Just a matter of time, in the end there will be so many latino's in the US that the Republican Party won't survive...
  15. If more money means more expensive players and higher wages but no result, progress or any idea of where it's going on the pitch than the management should be sacked. Better invest a bigger part of the money in staff, scouting and youth academy.
  16. Saints earns 107 million from television, that's 47 million more than the total amount of all the Dutch clubs in the Eredivisie together. Yet, the game we get to see is utter crap, modern football s*cks
  17. That one didn't spring to mind as a political killing but it is of course. Maybe it has to do with the massive scale, even Wikipedia doesn't mention it on their list of assassinations. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_assassinations_in_Europe
  18. You’re right, that was a right wing nutter. The murder of Olof Palme of Sweden could be one too but it isn’t clear who did it up till this day.
  19. Saudi Arabia spreading their backward wahabism around the globe: no one gives a toss. Saudi citizens funding ISIS: who cares? Saudi Arabia killing citizens in Jemen: the west delivers the weapons and the UK and the US even take part in this "war". Saudi Arabia kills one journalist in a horrific way and now they are really evil. And then they say journalists are losing their importance...
  20. In the 70's and 80's die Rote Armee Fraktion and Brigato Rosso who murdered politicians, in the Netherlands a leftie put a bullet in the head of Pim Fortuyn who was going to win the elections in 2002. I can't remember a right wing lunatic murdering a left wing politician in Europe, can you? Though it might not take long before that happens considering the way things are developing in Germany for example.
  21. Poor Asia Bibi. Just because she lived and worked as a christian in a rural area in Pakistan she now faces the death penalty because she dared to take a sip of water from the same cup the muslim women used. Rural police officers, rural judges etc. they all agree that she deserves to die for her blasphemy to ask "what Mohammed ever did to save mankind." Two 'urban' politicians stood up for her but were unfortunately murdered for their bravery. I guess there are a bit too many “rurals” in Pakistan but maybe it’s just me riding the anti-islam bandwagon? https://www.google.nl/amp/s/amp.news.com.au/lifestyle/real-life/news-life/christian-woman-in-pakistan-facing-death-penalty-over-a-cup-of-water/news-story/63690073f2fd5debde9c151fdb588053
  22. In the US it’s right wing idiots but remarkably in Europe bullets usually come from the left. I wonder why...
  23. If that’s true then it’s just a coincidence because in Pakistan they rape muslim women too. #nothingtodowithislam
  24. Yup, but it was Clinton who came up with the plan to get rid of Gaddafi. In fact the neocons Cheney, Rumsfeld etc. were also planning a "change for Libya" before her as former general Wesley Clarke stated. If Trump has one thing going for him it is the fact that everyone hates him, from so called liberals like the Clintons to neocons like the Bushes. As many Americans are fed up with those lot, Trump should have been more popular amongst the American population. If only he wasn't such an imbecile... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3B5xzApMZg
