Meanwhile, a look back at the Guardian from last March. I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Wankers. Actually, I don't think I'll laugh. The extra deaths caused by the EMA delay in approving the Pfizer vaccine and Macron's pressure to rely on the ineffective Sanofi vaccine is a tragedy.

You just don't have a clue, Whitey. The EU is a regulatory nightmare, one I am just waking up from. Alright if your selling washers, but for anything the Germans and French want to protect, you're f***** Nostradamus strikes again...

European Medicines Agency Communication from February 2020: Der Spiegel - December 2020:

I must admit, the shortage of medicines was my biggest concern after Brexit. It must be a great relief to the EU that they were able to rely on the advantages of a single market to quickly provide life saving vaccines to their citizens.

I have to apologise to all the Remainers on this thread, as I was wrong about the level of disruption that our exit from the EU would cause us. I always believed to EU were infested by a petty minded bunch of bureaucrats, but I can now see that they are only trying to protect the single market and the regulations that protect it. This was evident by the news story here that amply demonstrates their reasonable approach to trade with our country. Brexit: UK driver has ham sandwiches confiscated at Dutch border

I imagine it has something to do with Thornberry's general poor grasp of facts. I think your reliance on this harridan to support your position is on pretty thin ice. She voted for the trade deal that Boris negotiated with the EU. Maybe you should post an interview with Diane Abbott. She didn't vote for the deal. On second thought, please don't. It was unpleasant enough watching Thornberry twice in one year.

I think you mean GDP per capita, Wes.

Brian Sicknick was a Trump-supporting U.S. Capitol Police officer and military veteran who has died of injuries suffered during a pro-Trump riot on January 6, 2021, at the Capitol building, authorities say.
-
Mind you, I thought the protestors were armed. I didn't think that meant armed with fire extinguishers.
-
Than I condemn the person that hit him on the head with a fire extinguisher. He/she should be arrested and charged. The police chief was ultimately responsible, though.
-
The Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick died of a stroke, from what I heard. I would condemn those involved in the protest who caused the death of anyone. The armed standoff took place at the House front door at about 3 p.m. ET, and police officers had their guns drawn at anyone who was trying to breach it. As a result of the episode, US Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund is resigning. Good to see the person deemed responsible for the policing debacle and subsequent deaths has resigned. Don't let facts get in the way of your preconceptions, though. The question you've got to ask yourself, with the cameras and CCTV rolling, is why hasn't anyone been arrested in the death of the police officer?

Don't try and put fucking words in my mouth. My issue is that it was to an overreaction to anyone, black, white, male or female. It's just that you Liberals seem to think black males lives are more worthy of outrage than white female lives, particularly if they're right wing. So fuck off with the racism labels you are trying to place on me.

I've just watched a new video of the shooting and although from a close range, it reinforces what I thought. She was unarmed, I didn't hear any warning and the guy was 3 metres away. Shocking and a total over reaction.
-
It's not about popularity, just facts. You have none of these that support your argument. I comfortable that I did. I have no new facts to present and you have absolutely none, so I'll bid adieu.
-
Just watch the video!

Jimmy, I am wasting bandwidth with you and the other posters trying to justify this shooting. The posts are getting more and more tortuous. Please underline the points in your post that justify her killing, because I can't see them. Was it that the shooter was firing at the first demonstrator climbing through the broken window. Was it because the National Guard weren't near her. No the post is just meaningless waffle in an attempt the defend the indefensible.
-
No I'm not, are you?
-
With respect, a woman carrying a bag is not a great shock. The guy that shot this woman hadn't singled her out because she was a threat. He simply fired at a closed door from, I reckon 10-15 metres away. He was in no position to see whether she was carrying a bag or a firearm and it was sheer chance he didn't hit one of the many National Guard soldiers that were surrounding her and administered first aid. Of course, if he'd hit one of them, there would have been little chance of injury due to the jackets they were wearing. I think he may have thought the National Guard were in fact demonstrators. It'll all come out, hopefully and there is no way the police in charge will survive this debacle. Poor Ashli.
