Read the statement he made again and stop conflating it with things he didn't say, or study's he didn't refer to. It was a statement of fact about something that may happen in the future. They are not findings, evidence, nor data. They are forecasts based on what they calculate it costs for a company to fill in a customs form. I don't know what they pay tax inspectors (a sorry bunch) but I can't imagine is costing over £30 to fill a form in. Still the HMRC and the Treasury have been so accurate with their forecasts in the past, who am I to argue. Still total bollox, though, but you latch onto it. I'll stick with the CEO of Nissan who dismissed disruption in the ports as "peanuts".

I think the most tangible benefit from Brexit would be the ability we had of buying the Covid 19 vaccine supply from anyone, rather than joining 27 other countries in a buying group, with 27 separate agendas. When the viral dust settles, I reckon that may amount to 100,000 lives saved. A bit more important than fish and cheese, to be honest.

SFC have behaved impeccably throughout this pandemic and what a pleasure to be able to attend the home game against Sheffield United. A real ray of sunshine and it was easy to witness the joy of the players, management and fans at the end of the game. I'm going to carry the money forward to next season on the assumption that it will help the club. They deserve it and it is a small gesture.
