It is not clear that he couldn't. In any case, didn't Lallana run the second highest distance in the league last year?
-
Sounds like he would be the perfect manager for the English National Team.

I have posted a short entry today entitled "Great Moments in Recent Southampton FC History (Part Three)."

At this point I doubt the team can do anything inconsistent with my more recent analysis, which is certainly convenient for me. Our transfer profits appear to be at about plus 48 million pounds. My unreliably calculated current payroll is at 43 million pounds so unless we spend 48 million plus to bring in players we pay 13 million plus we are fine on the salary cap. And BPL FFP was never going to be an issue for us. Of course, there is huge margin for error in my calculations, but the room for error is quite clearly much greater right now.

So then, how is the asset stripping going then lads..?

I don't know if you can actually open an account in a friendly, but if you can Pelle had already opened his account for us. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2696398/Southampton-maintain-good-pre-season-form-easing-past-Sporting-Hasselt-6-0-Graziano-Pelle-scores-twice-Saints-debut.html -
But there are financial fair play rules now, even in league two. Surely they are going to have to file something sooner or later.

Beyond the Southampton Fire Sale, Football's Brave New World

A well written depressing blog. I look forward to more of the same. Wait. That is not exactly what I meant. -
Funny, but it doesn't actually help me write a blog. Anyone else?
-
I am actually have trouble finding Portsmouths current financials online. Anyone have a link? BTW, about 1 in 8 of my blog's page views are referrals from the fansonline Portsmouth forum.
-
You may have a good point but there is no way I am going through at 50 page slideshow at 2am.
-
That is unlikely. Cork is not highly paid given that he was signed to a championship contract and we have plenty of salary cap room right now.
-
First, let's see if they can actually get Wellbeck. After all, he was not on the list of supposedly disposable MU players. If both Hernandez and Wellbeck move, isn't MU down to two strikers in a two striker formation?
-
My life will pace me soon enough. But thanks for reading.
-
In my very first Football Manager save, FM 2010, Wellbeck ended up being footballer of the year 5 times for my Southampton team. Schneiderlin, on the other hand, hated my guts and I had to sell him cheap.
-
I don't think this is an issue since you don't have to register the full 25 players. If we only had 6 home grown players we would just be limited to registering 23 senior players.
-
I have posted a new blog entitled “Everyone’s an Expert. Except me.”
-
No he didn't. He said Schneiderlin and Rodriguez wouldn't be sold.
-
I have something else in mind for parts 3 and 4. Only one is not so great, well maybe both.

I have posted a short new blog entry entitled "Great Moments in Recent Southampton FC History (Part Two)". I am working on another post for later. http://redsloscf.blogspot.co.uk/ http://redsloscf.blogspot.com/

I have published another blog entry entitled "Am I crazy? (Part Three) Apparently not." It deals with the use of Football Manager data both in my blog and by real professional football clubs. http://redsloscf.blogspot.co.uk/ http://redsloscf.blogspot.com/

Actually, the way the sentence is written either "to" or "too" works. But using both would have been better as in "wouldn't expect anyone else to too."
-
That alone would not make the different. We would need revenue sharing much like that in the NFL which is never going to happen so long as relegation is a possibility. About the only thing that will make the first division of English football fair is an European Superleague which would take out the top 6 or 7 teams. Of course, the BPL would operate at a much lower level and Superleague teams would snatch up all the new BPL's good players.

I just preordered FM 2015 on Steam today. I will probably make the real world use of FM the subject of my next blog. Any other useful information I should have?
-
I guess I undersold the value of FM in evaluating players in the real world: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/sport/football/premierleague/article4172443.ece

Based upon that comment, you, sir, are a seven.
