It is useful, unless you assume Football Manager doesn't know what it is talking about. I assume they do not have exact figures but have some source of inside information. I could be wrong though but, as I stated in the post, in the past their total salary figure for the team as a whole was consistent with the information publically revealed by the club.

Koeman - potential to be Saints best manager in generations?
Redslo replied to washsaint's topic in The Saints
I think he wants to coach the Dutch national team which means staying here for exactly 4 years. -
Couldn't you have kept quiet about this? You have now thrown us into an alternate time line where anything can happen.

Maybe the Spurs should seek to buy Lovren cheap from Liverpool.

There is no evidence the club agreed he could move in January and lots of evidence that he will not. Next summer is a different matter, of course.

The accuracy of a prediction in any one game is meaningless for the reasons you mentioned and others. I would consider an expert prognosticator to be "any good" if he could significantly out predict my silly little system. I also would consider an aspect of being "any good" as recognizing that 1 goal victories are the norm and there should be a very good reason before you predict a club will win by two or more goals. Also, I would not suggest that predicting winners accurately enough to win money gambling would be easy. I just think it is probably possible, but, as I said, people who can do that probably just go about winning their money privately. They don't publish.

I just checked the FM 2015 data base and I don't think he is good enough for us. Of course, neither was Pelle last summer. Or Fonte now.

I have to think that if we had him two years ago he clearly would have been thought of as an excellent player. Certainly, three or four years ago.

Are there any experts who publically predict Premier League games who are any good? I have been tracking Lawrenson's predictions on my blog for nine weeks now and he basically gets half the games right, but rarely gets the score right. The system I am made up (and published) in half an hour out performs him (and Paul Merson for that matter). There must be people who make money betting on the games, but they probably keep their mouths shut.

Could just be an issue of adjusting to the changing standards here. What used to be an excellent player is now merely a good player. I so decree.

The narrator is one of the two "Men in Blazers" who do a podcast and a weekly show about soccer on NBCsn. They played a part in the ESPN's coverage of last summer's World Cup before they moved to NBC. Their work is primarily humorous in nature so he was an unusual choice for the narrator, but he was a logical choice for NBC to make so I think the production was American. Obviously Southampton provided lots of the footage. The opening segment was, I think, actually produced by Southampton.

Not necessarily a player.

If we make Europe no one currently with the team is surplus to requirements.

It has to be this.

It won't work, but it is worth insulting them like they did us in the summer for Schneiderlin.

It was a great moment but it was in 2013.

An interesting question. Here is a list of FM 2010 wonderkids. http://www.truefootballmanager.com/2009/10/football-manager-2010-wonderkids-and.html There is an interesting mix of success stories (Gareth Bale) and failures (Vegard Forren). Overall they have turned out better than the average player for their age I would suspect.
