  1. Are you ok?
  2. Caribbean? I thought he was in Portugal? How's the Mirror supposed to convince us of where he's going if they don't even know where he's been...
  3. But... he's only played 3 games all season...
  4. 2 bad first team signings?
  5. Replacing all these players every season is really difficult. All it takes is 1 or 2 bad signings particularly if they're first team signings and we'll have a bad season. There's also the fact that the players can take time to work together. What annoys me most is that players like tadic and Mane seem to be playing better and better. We finished the season with momentum but sell any of the first team players and that's gone. Finally, in the prem there's money everywhere. We don't need to sell any players. What's worse is if we get 70 mill and spend 50 mil, we're never really investing money in the squad. Where the heck is all the prem money we get going.
  6. Yea wtf is going on. I want to keep hating him but he's making it difficult the pr*ck
  7. What a night that was. Will remember that forever. Seeing Lambert and Le God do a penalty shootout (even if Matt has lost the strength in his legs). The chants were fantastic all night. Calling Tiss a sh*t Richie Lambert and we always get sh*t refs when Lambert was offside were 2 of my favourite. Really nice for Adkins getting great support and then the same chants for Koeman so there was no chance of any disrespect. Kelvin really seems like a great guy (forgetting the fact he did everything he could to stop his son scoring against him ). We will forever be indebted to him amongst a few others. I really hope he stays with us in some other capacity. Thank you Kelvin. As for the PA system, it was flipping loud in block 46.
  8. I don't think Koeman will leave this year. He seems to be under the impression that as he is contracted here for 1 more year then that is that. Whether he extends for 1 more year or goes will depend on whether the club has the same ambition as he has. We need to keep key players, extend contracts and give him money to spend or he probably won't extend his contract (and rightly so). If we don't match his ambition then he is too good for us. I was impressed with Everton as you were having some great finishes but this season has been poor. Although Everton are a bigger club, isn't Koeman too good for you? (In the nicest way possible). Poch, as much as I hate to say it is a very good manager. An ars****e but a very good manager. He took us to 8th then f*ed off to Spurs. We lost our chairman, manager (tw*t), captain (wan*er), top goal scorer (to a very long term injury), our talisman who was our previous season top goal scorer, our star young left back, our new top centreback (pri*k) and a good young right back. Koeman came in and took us to 7th... a place higher than Poch and did it after we'd been completely raided. Then we lost our other very good right back, our star defensive midfielder and were unable to tie down our very good centreback (who we had on loan to replace the other very good centreback). Then we finished higher again (either 6th or 5th still unconfirmed until after tonight). It's quite clear Koeman is a step up from Poch who is now a Champions League manager. Everton are traditionally a bigger club than Saints and should be way into the top half, but Koeman (if he decides to go) should be managing in the UCL or challenging for titles. I don't see Everton as a step up from Saints (right now anyway) and certainly not a massive step up. Although we aren't in the big time yet, if we prove we are doing everything we can to, then he might stay. If not I think he'll go somewhere where they're already a big club and not a (usually) very good club with ambition (like Everton). That aside, Evertons transfer budget (although impressive) would be partially funded by selling quality players. Money is everywhere in the prem, finding quality is the hard part. I'd rather be needing 1 or 2 extra signings than having a boat load of money to find half a team (particularly as anyone you sell 9 times out of 10 will go to a rival club above you) and not another league.
  9. We were almost never first or second
  10. I love the way his inner Saint comes out when attacked, naturally wanting to defend his club and ask why, but he realises he's got a job to do Who should be new Arsenal manager Guest: "Ronald Koeman?" Presenter: "Ronald.... No not..... why do?... He's doing alright at Southampton"
  11. Martina was the hardest to score. Curling a ball with the outside of your boot from distance is just insane. Vardy and Allis goals were also amazing, but a different type of skill. A lesser but still amazing skill.
  12. Koeman seems to have very strong values. From what he's saying he has 1 year left and will see out his contract. In the mean time he will continue to speak to the club before he decides whether or not to extend. From what he's saying there is no club/team he would move to in the next 12 months, no matter who they are, how much they pay or what they can offer. Of course this is just how he comes across. Whether he means it or not we will see. Poch on the other hand reminds me of a rat. As soon as there's any sign of the vessel taking on water he's the first on a bit of driftwood heading for land. Here's a visual example of how the owner probably felt when Poch was here desperate to jump ship. [video=youtube_share;VVpeezltR1o]
  13. I wouldn't want Suarez or Costa here but that's different as they're C**ts. With all the depressing threads about players being sold over the past few seasons I'm willing to entertain this purely for the cool factor! Rather have someone who is genuinely world class who could score 30 goals and who openly admits they are only here for one season, than some random player who pretends they love the club but really are here purely to further their career and pick up their pay cheque.
  14. How many players would we have to get rid of to be able to pay him £300k a week without breaking FFP rules??? Only reason I can think he'd come here is if he fancies a real challenge at winning a league and wants to prove he's the best. Can't see it though
  15. To be fair to one of the guys on the Spurs forum, his expected lineup did make me literally lol... ----------Mcgregor----------- Khan ------ jones ----- fury ---- frampton undertaker ------- cena Pac-man ----------- degale AJ --------- golovkin http://www.thefightingcock.co.uk/forum/threads/final-home-game-of-the-season-vs-southampton-08-may-1330ko.17775/
  16. I'm not so sure. "Financial Fair Play" should keep most teams in their "place". Doesn't really matter if we all have huge amounts of prem money, we are restricted to the wages we can pay and therefore restricted to who we can buy. That's why "FFP" is there. To stop us all being equal. Leicester with all due respect is a bit of a fluke. They deserve it as they've been the most consistant team but the big teams have been almost as bad as Leicester have good. Even their manager is admitting that they are not challenging for the title next season, or even going to be challenging for a European spot. If they finish in the top 7 next season I will be more shocked than them winning the league this season
  17. I hope you're right and I really don't know much about Leicesters transfer window at the start of the season, but is our problem that every year we do reasonably well and therefore lose our best players? Where as Leicester had a good run but as they didn't finish last season high up like Saints they didn't have to worry about losing their best players? I could be way off...
  18. Have we really dropped 9 points to the bottom 4 this season? Those extra points would give us 63 and put us 5th just 1 point behind Arsenal and City in 4th and 3rd. Not to mention the 2 points dropped vs Everton or all the other matches we either dropped points from hitting the bars or just not turning up for the game... Seems like we're on the verge of having a pretty awesome team. Just need more confidence in front of goal and to not be so weak psychologically. Feels like we lose a match and then everyone's on antidepressants for the next one... I'm sure Sky Sports said if the league started in January we would be 3rd???
  19. Only argument I could think of
  20. Out of curiosity at what point do we stop referring to ourselves as a top 10 club? If we finish 8th or above that will be 3 seasons in the top 8? How many seasons in the top 8 before we stop seeing ourselves as just a top half club.

Family in Aus says no one over there drinks Fosters. Must be just British advertising. Heard 4 ex is reasonably popular.
  22. Its stupid that they sing a song sung by another club that doesn't work with their nickname...
  23. It's not important when you're more important than the players. It's not important when you're bigger than the players. It's not important when you're the best at your job. Players seem to have this care free attitude when it comes to football. Do what they want, hold clubs to ransom, disrespect themselves, their managers and their clubs and if they don't get their way they play like they cbf. He's better than all of the players, but its easier to be narrow minded and just sack him. Again as much as I hate the guy and think the one real mistake he made was EC, I still think they are now in a worse position.
  24. I understand what you're saying but what's the alternative? Maybe he did lose the dressing room. He was wrong to treat the doctors like he did but all those players and staff are replaceable. I dont think he is and I dont think they'll go back to winning titles without him.
