watched coverage on red buttom ths morning it was far better than anything on The Champoinship, weel done BBC

I managed to get 8 of the £16 tickets at 10.15 this morning so weren't sold out then, and it says on OS we can get more tickets if we sell the 1,735 we've already been given. If there is any reference to being sold out it is probably to the initial 1235 in the main stand as all tickets now available are for behind the goal

So did we at Bournemouth, but that wasn't the same day as Hants playing in a cup final at at Lords where at least 8,000 will be going or was it in the school holidays which is why I and many others with kids will be missing the game as we will be on our hols.

Think this lad played on loan at Salisbury the season before last. Although he wasn't very tall had a good leap (as per Chris Baird), very quick an general very impressive for the Whites whenever I saw him play.

I think its interesting for those who moaned that our matchday tickets prices of £22 for Wings or behind the goals is too high, that Huddersfield tickets are £24 behind the goal and Swindon £22. So on this evidence our prices are on a par if not lower than our competitors.

Normally this would be a good idea but all the ticket office staff currently have enough on their plate, as they are working flat out trying to deal with the exceptional demand for season tickets and those purchasing tickets for the Ajax game.

On official site it says it had already printed 15,000 tickets yesterday (which I think includes 4,000 given to local kids football teams in Chapel) http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1721970,00.html so I think at least 20,000 will be there

Absolutely I'm sure that last night he gave away more fouls than accurate passes to his teamates, and most of the time he just wacked the bal hopeleesly forward. Callum McNish when he came on for Pulis showed how totaly inept he is, Callum by the way looked very good, got stuck in and passed the ball around well. Tom Dunford looked good too. Murty played well, considering he's not done much training and would be excellent at right back on this showing. Of the others thought Rasiak tried much harder than Saturday and played well, also thought Molyneux was OK at left back and Patterson played Ok but agree with others who thought Ollie was out of his depth again and apart from a run in first minute Lallana was poor. After viewing the last two friendlies it is clearly evident that we need 6 - 7 new players brought in if we are going to avoid a struggling at the wrong end on the League One table.

You can change seats now if you want to, I have already done so. The only limitations are that the seat you move to wasn't occupied by a season ticket holder last season or hasn't already been taken by a new season ticket holder. After July 31st you can move to any seat not held by a season ticket holder for 2009/10 season

I think you could be right it is Karma, just like in "My name is Earl" on E4. If thats the case Im looking forward to waking up with Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) in my bed !!

The Official "I'm going to Hartlepool on a Tuesday" thread
oldsarum replied to bungle's topic in The Saints
Loads of London Saints will be going to Hartlepool and staying overnight as one of them got married there as he wife comes from Hartlepool. -
Managed to get through on the phone, but it sounds pretty manic down there all hands to the deck iI think and could hear in the background that even David Luker was helping out on the wiindows.

Just renewed my season ticket. I was in Kingsland Centre but have moved to wing and bought my 10 year old son his first season ticket Would have cost me £350 in centre just for my ticket but tow season tickets in wing cost £320 (£14 a game for the two of us) People may moan about the price of matchday tickets at £22 for adults, but even if you miss a few games it works out cheaper if you purchase a season ticket, even if you a new season ticket holder if you go to 16 (out of 23) games or more its cheaper. Eg 16 games @ £22 = £352 - season ticket £342 (wings / northam) So go on get a season ticket, you know it makes sense

I wonder how long it will take for Mark Jackson to come in with a yet another consortium in an attempt to rescue them as he's successfully done at Bournemouth and Saints already ?
-
Best (so many but my personal favourites) Saints 3 West Ham 3 (1971/72) (shown on Match of the DAy) 3-0 down and came back with terry Paine going mad after scoring the equaliser Saints 5 Blackburn 0 (1977/78 promotion season revenge for Battle of Ewood game when Ossie and Steve Williams were sent Off) Saints 4 Liverpool 1 (week after we'd won 4-1 at QPR in Nicholl Era) Saints 2 Newcastle 1 (Matty scored 2 great goals the first just as Branfoot was about to bring him off) Saints 6 Man Utd 3 (great to thrash Mancs, Keane snet off and great Matty chip for second goal) Worst Losing 2-0 to Brighton days after we'd beaten Man U 3-2 at home 1981/82 ??, win would have put us top, but we put in numerous high balls allnight which Steve Fioster won with ease. Losing 2-0 to Pompey in their one season up in the 1980's Losing 6-2 to Spurs in FAC after being 2-0 up and winning the game easily.

It could be talking about anyone FFS People on message boards etc. Just as likely could be refering to a Jackson and his Peter Reid statement
-
Ditto can particularly remember the Blackburn supporters all applauding his goal there and me getting strange looks from the Villa fans in the stands when I cheered his goal there from the safety of an executive box

In terms of results you are quite correct, but if you ask anyone who watched Saints when Keegan played us, it was in that period that we played the highest quality football we've ever played in my lifetime IMO (and i'm 50). During that period I went to home games not wondering if we'd win but wondering by how many goals, fans were dissapointed with a 1-0 win. It was all out attack week in week out. The 83/84 season, when we got to the the semi final and were runners up in the league was great (especially the Cup run beating Pompey etc.), but for all out entertainment the Keegan years have never been beaten.
-
In Nick Hornsby's Book "Fever Pitch" he mentions this game and questions why so there were so many people for a Southampton game (he didn't seem to realise it was all down to Keegan's presence in our team) I rememeber going to Sunderland on the saturday following the Arsenal game. We won 2-1 and the ground was full with over 40,000 fans at a time when they normally got 30,000 for thier home games.

Thought it was rich on Radio Solent that P*mpey fans faced an anxious fortnight wait until deal is completed. They've got no problems compared to us , what the F**K do they think we're going though at the moment !!!
-
Stop scaremongering. Darlington and Stockport are in exactly the same postion as us at the momemnt, and last season Bournemouth still had not sorted themselves out days before the start of the new season.

For Brighton if you sign into Southern Trains website they do deal where 4 adults can travel anywhere in the region covered by their trains for £20 which maeks return to Brighton £5 each.
