  1. Tickets are now on general sale so you should be able to ge the 2 tickets you require http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/tickets-aston-villa-vs-saints-1430195.aspx
  2. have to disagree on two levels First of all not all people who travel to games would be able to use coaches, many do not live in Southampton area Secondly travelling by coach is the worse possible way to travel to away games, it's alright if all you are interested in is watching the match , but i if you want the full away day experience it's fa rbetter to either drive or go by train giving you the ability to see a bit of the town /city where you are playing plus stop off at places on route, which is something the organised coaches seldolm offer
  3. I think at the start of the season we were better defensively with Wanyama in defensive midfield but we were not so effective going forward due to a combination of him playing and trying to accomodate Osvaldo in the team we have been far more effective going forward since Osvaldo left IMO, 24 goals in 11 league games I think as opposed to 25 in 21 games before he left
  4. I would have though if you contact the ticket office, it should be clear to them that you regulary get 2 tickets on customer number they may allow you to get 2 tickets as there are nearly 2 weeks until tickets go on sale plenty of time for you to get this sorted out

  8. Last season everbody was complaing we didn't win enough against bottom teams This season so far we've doen doubles over Fulham, Palace, Hull and West Brom and we are the only team to have won at Anfield this season and have drawn against Man City and Arsenal and were unlucky not to win both of those games

  10. Went to last ex-saints night London Saints event held at same venue 3 years ago and it was brilliant All the ex players as well as supporters had a great evening, was difficult to get players to go home, and would recommend event to anyone in and around London or home countie, and last tiem several ex payer sucha s Tommy widderington and David hughes just turned up on the night. and as said earlier all money raised fior good causes
  11. Have Saints ever had 4 players int he England squad before ? Back in McMenemy's days we had numerous players in england Squad, but I can't recall four in th e one squad As far as 30 man squad is concerned, I would imagine that this squad + Jagielka will basically be teh initial squad for the World Cup which is being reduced down to 23 for the tournamount and gives early notice to those concerned that they need to be avaiable for England at end of May

  16. Only ever done two specials Was on the one to Bradford City for the FA Cup Quarter Final 1976, remember walking up the road to the ground and pssing several pubs with the windows smashed out following fights between fans before the game Also went on one to Fa Cup match at Wimbledon at Plough Lane in 1979 for re-arranged tie in midweek, when it was so cold Saints fans lit bonefires on the Terraces keep us warm. Saints won 2-0 with two goals from Phil Boyer from memory.

  21. Prices like that balance out over the season Eg Chelsea £50, Liverpool £42, Man U £46 Hull £22, Stoke £25, West Brom £25, Sunderland £29, Cardiff £30 Average cost of away tickets over season will average around £35
  22. around 1400 tickets left in areas currently open the majority of those are in the Itechen which now has Blocks 13 and 14 open in addtion to the areas that originally went on sale Would say around 20,600 tickets sold so far inclyding Yeovil tickets Woiuld expect crowd to be over 21K by kick off
  23. Not the only Saints significant event to have occured in January in last 20years 18 years ago January 1996 we finally got rid of Branfoot, and after that things improved dramatically for a couple of seasons 6 years ago Burley left to take over Scotland job, and only the appointement of Nigel Pearson saved us from relegation A year later when we got relegated from Championship Portvielt resigned in January and Wotte took over Last year around this time Cortese got rid of Nigel Adkins and despite many fans concerned the teams performances have improved significantly It does seem that we have more than our fair share of significant events occuring in January, not all bad
  24. Would have suggested the Devizes Inn, but that's just closed The Cathedral Hotel in centre of town has SKy games, but not sure about BT games
