Nothing wrong with his comments imo. As has been said above, the press sensationalise everything, otherwise it's a bit of a non-story. What should he have said "meh, he was alright. He wasn't that interested in me to be honest until Graziano got injured, and I saved his neck"?

It's easy to talk about honour and loyalty, take the moral high ground and look like the good guy. It's easy until something unexpected comes along to put your words to the test. Ron isn't a stupid man, he'll know how it looks and may regret such public statements. Be interesting to see if he ever says stuff about honouring contracts again.

Then there's his pronuciation of Pogba which would occasionally become PogBAR. He did the same with Drogba, or Drogbarrr I should say. Hoddle sounds like he's been on the p*ss to me, or maybe senility is closing in. Then there is his classic footballer's grammar - "he's one of them players", "he's came out for the ball". Never thought I'd say it, but Andy Townsend would be more soothing on the ear. Wonder who the BBC will have commentating. Please not Phil Neville.
