I wouldn't describe it as important but it could be reflective of his attitude. If after 7 years he decides not to publicly thank the fans who paid his wages (like Schneiderlin, Lambert, Lallana, Wanyama, even Toby i think! have all done), then it'd probably give a clue as to how he feels about the club. I've only seen him play a few times myself, i'm not saying he's the answer but I definitely didn't have a problem with him before his injury and it's strange that some do have when even if they did see him play before his injury they probably can't remember what he was like!

I appreciate he has been out for so long, so may not be reliable, but many are saying he's terrible and not good enough for us, whereas before his injury he certainly was deemed good enough to be a back up. The club may have seen enough since his injury to decide he's not up to it anymore, but in my opinion the fans won't have.

Am I imagining that Gardos was our backup CB until a really bad injury or are we just pretending it wasn't the case and he's just another Vegard Forren wasted transfer? Seem to recall him coming on for Toby at Old Trafford very early in the game and playing really well and helping keep a clean sheet. I just don't know who's supposed to be **** and who's not anymore

Love how so many are finding a way to blame this whole scenario on Puel somehow. It's clear things have not been right with Jose since he stepped foot in Staplewood after the Euro's. No big spread from the club about our club captain winning an international tournament? No celebration of his achievements where we could lap up our role in his development as a player? There's no way we'd pass up an opportunity like that unless something went wrong somewhere, and Puel had barely stepped foot in the door at this point, but somehow it's his fault. Jesus wept.
