  1. Nothing to worry about in that Arsenal line up really, and ours is weakened obviously but we have a lot of injuries and all but Isgrove, Garcia and Lewis have played regularly this season for us so i'm happy with it.
  2. Yeah I know he had strong Southampton connections but its still not often you see a team from another Premier League team sitting in the away end supporting someone else!
  3. Amazing!! Often tell people that hollow, distant roar from the away end is one of the worst noises you can ever hear, but in that case its just beautiful.
  4. Yeah sorry its because I copied my post from another thread but didn't do it properly. All fixed now.
  5. hopefully fixed, my bad!
  6. Here's a list of some of the best footage posted on Twitter, for those of you who don't use it. Enjoy: Saints' video of the fans singing 'que sera, sera' after the game': A fan who managed to record the goal as it went in! More 'que sera, sera' as the players throw their shirts in after the final whistle, filmed by a fan. Another fan who managed to film the goal going in Bizarre video of the day probably goes to this guy, spotting Sam Vokes of Burnley in the away end singing 'que sera, sera' Proper footage of the bundle and euphoria in slo-mo, courtesy of the club themselves And I know this has been posted already, but this clip of the goal with the titanic music accompanying it is sublime https://twitter.com/Ahoybjerg/status/824398129260793856

  8. What a shame that a 90,000 seater stadium only allows each team 31k tickets. Nearly a third of the stadium will be going to non-supporters. I have 5 home games and 2 away games and a membership, shame that the 2 away games don't count especially as one was the Arsenal game in the quarter final. Think there's going to be a fair few empty seats at Arsenal and West Ham!
  9. A tough tackling, blood and guts fan favourite who has a great temperament and doesn't make rash tackles and get himself sent off, whilst providing great composure and ability on the ball. He's perfect!
  10. Awesome in both legs, despite some missed chances (although that chip in the first leg was sublime, desperately unlucky that it hit Lovren). I've been critical of him playing on the left due to his tendency to cut back but not actually produce anything when he does it, and his lack of trust in his left foot. Last night he caused their right back and Matip all sorts of problems and played 3 good passes with his left foot, he was fantastic. Really, really pleased for him, games like these are always set up for players to make their name and I feel no matter what peoples' opinion of Redmond have been all season, they cannot deny his importance in us reaching this final.
  11. I have been very critical of him, but at the same time I have seen some glimpses of a really agile, dynamic powerhouse midfielder (Everton at home particularly, when he kept turning in and out of players, also at Prague at home). But as mentioned above, sometimes he is painfully bad (Inter at home, one of the worst performances i've seen for years, felt bad for him). But I can't bemoan his work rate so hopefully the quality will come as he gets more game time.
  12. I've always liked Alan Smith but his 'he's a very lucky boy!' did my head in. I can't surely be the only person who sees that it was a complete and utter dive, no contact whatsoever. The irony is that they got a corner when it was Origi that touched the ball last, and we scored from it. Couldn't write it! Still on cloud nine this morning!
  13. Sky Sports News' coverage of the game this morning conveniently doesn't show either of our 2 chances in the first half, only theirs, and shows both 'penalty' appeals, without mentioning how Origi dived completely.
  14. I'm over the moon to be going to Wembley. But my god I can't stop thinking about that complete ***** Sam Matterface and his 'Koeman is a winner' headline about us, whilst we reach a final and Koeman goes out in the first round of both cups. Would love to win it purely to shove that down the skate bastards neck.
  15. He'll be sacked by Christmas..
  16. Was just thinking that, a major cup final is the thing i've been waiting to cap the amazing turnaround of our club, and we've finally got it. I understand some people's frustration with Puel and tactics/rotation, but to be the first manager to deliver that is some feat, against the odds too.
  17. Amazing. Not often you can hear the away fans booing a home player all game, but it felt like there was only 3,000 people at Anfield tonight and they were all Saints. GET IN THEEEEEERE!!!
  18. Apart from moaning about never getting decision from ref's! Must be a different Liverpool he watches
  19. We could draw 9-9 for all I care, as long as we go through
  20. Stephens to score the winner
  21. I stand corrected, the reporter at Anfield did just say they understand he's travelled. Fingers crossed but trying to subdue any excitement, just incase!
  22. Yeah I saw but it could be one person has said it and it's travelled
  23. Let's not carried away on hearsay, i'm watching SSN and haven't heard any mention of Van Dijk travelling (although I wasn't watching it when that rumour started), we'll only be more disappointed if it turns out earlier reports of him being out tonight were true.
  24. Didn't Stephens have a really good game for Middlesbrough at Old Trafford during his loan spell last season? I think keep Bertrand at LB, he is one of our best players on his day and his energy and pace allows him to get up and back brilliantly, and if we are looking under pressure then just limit his ability to go forward and help out Stephens if he's struggling. As good as McQueen has been, he's still not a player I would feel 100% comfortable with defending against Firmino etc., whereas Bertrand I would, so may as well allow Stephens his Sam McQueen moment of coming into a massive game with little experience.
  25. Surely Long is going to play tonight like he did against Arsenal in the cup, so we sit deep and soak and then have his pace to chase down our clearances and cause problems for their defence.
