  1. He's also scored 7 of those goals in two games (3 vs. Sunderland and 4 vs. Bournemouth), so doesnt account for the long dry spells he goes through where he looks like he can't be arsed until the ball arrives at his feet. He really isn't elite level.

    Boufal

I agree with you on his effort, I have been very impressed with how often I see someone come out of nowhere to knick the ball back and see it's Boufal
  3. Virg. Never seen someone so cool on the pitch, love it when he shrugs off a complete ***** like Sturridge without breaking sweat. Romeu close second, but got time for a few of the names mentioned like Long and Bertrand, seem like genuinely nice blokes.
  4. He looks to have had a significant change in philosophy regarding his shorts!
  5. As was I! Third row from the back to be precise, and didn't think it was too bad either.
  6. I was surprisingly impressed by Gabbiadini as a centre forward on Saturday
  7. He wouldn't be the first player to be riddled with injuries at a big club(s) and then find fitness at a smaller club where the pressure is much less, like Wilshere for example.
  8. I'm fairly sure Betrand has a medal after playing the final, not sure about Romeu. Hojbjerg has a medal too I believe. So we'd have 4 (if Romeu has one).
  9. You've clearly changed your source because a couple of weeks ago you said how the cup hindered Bradford and they came 18th! They got promoted that season, winning 4-1 in the play-offs I think. I was at their cup final game funnily enough. It wouldn't surprise me if we are holding back, we were exceptional in both leagues of the semi-final, which shows what we are capable of.
  10. I can't seen any reference to another drink driving conviction, but yes I wasn't genuinely suggesting it to be the only time he'd ever had a drink before. As someone below me points out, plenty of them have done it, if we ruled out new signings on the basis of their moral compass I think we'd find it very difficult.
  11. The only referee that would please me is Michael Oliver, other than him it's just hope for the best. Andre Marriner likes a good ol' case of mistaken identity so hopefully Mata puts in a tackle like he did yesterday and he sends off Zlatan instead.
  12. Wikipedia tells me the drink driving incident was late 2015, he's played since then. It could be the only time he's ever ingested alcohol in his life for all we know.
  13. Some pretty famous names on those lists at not very old ages - Must be weird being a footballer on thousands a week one minute, and then sat at home the next. Royston Drenthe stands out particularly, i'm sure he was very highly rated at one point but 29 and without a club now.
  14. I just always remember thinking how ridiculous his shorts always looked because he wore them so low down! Other than that, I know nothing about him, but let's just sign him
  15. Haven't we been told every summer by some prat on here that their source has told them Bertrand is leaving? Undoubtedly he will one day, like they all do, but i'll wait til the club tell me before I believe it.
  16. I keep seeing people moaning that we should go back to the diamond, but i'm sure people were slating the diamond at the start of the season? I must admit to being a little bit concerned now, and hope we just set up to soak up like we did against Liverpool both times and hit teams on the counter, just stop losing and conceding now please.
  17. Couldn't agree more
  18. I'd rather we stayed up, to be honest
  19. On what planet would Bournemouth coming level with us by getting a point improve the day slightly?
  20. Puel shouldn't have injured our best player, the best CB in the league, and then not spent his own money to replace him. Grrrrr. Get him out.
  21. Text a mate before kick off saying 'that donkey Carroll is bound to score against us, he always does'
  22. Barry Manilo i presume (Manolo)
  23. It just doesn't really make any sense to me that every away game ticket is distributed on the grounds of how many away games you've been to. But when that away game is Wembley, they don't count anymore? Should just be 'members that have purchased 8 games this season', rather than home or away. Personally.
  24. It is disappointing that my decision to go to Palace away rather than say Palace at home in the league cup has cost me an extra few quid, meant I had to watch that absolute shower of **** and am now one behind in the final pecking order! Oh well..
  25. Man United have recalled a young goalkeeper from his loan spell because of a "significant injury to a first team goalkeeper" - Interestibg if it's De Gea ahead of our cup final, but suspect it's Romero
