What does success look like for saints in a season where city, Arsenal and spurs are all as strong as ever and Chelseautd and Liverpool are focuses purely on the league I suggest a midtable position and some runs in cups flirting with a final/silverware would a be seen as success. Especially if we blood plenty of youth amongst our established players and turn a profit for future investment. This is I think our basic business model.be we'll run and try and punch above our weight.

In short, we play moneyball when signing or selling players. It makes sense for a club our size competing with bigger clubs and silly prices. A little Google tells me Cedric is on 30k a week. Clyne is on 70k at Liverpool and not setting the world on fire. Chambers is at Arsenal apparently on 10k a week. Cedric is flourishing and earning a very good wage......Chambers is stalled on relatively poor wages compared to what might be on had he stayed, Clyne has not pushed on but is sitting pretty on piles of cash.

But man Utd had Keane as balance to scholes/skolsjaar. We had telfer/marsden and delap as balance to him. You need different types of players sometimes and he was a cracking on on his day. Makes the tackle to set up the goal today. He is young. Holds his own in the Premiership and has potential. Sure he does not have height, power and pace but I think folk compare him to Morgan. He is not Morgan but he is certainly someone who makes our squad better than some of the journeymen dross around.
