Lets just hope the curse of 'winning' this accolade carries on!!!
-
30, living in London but originally from Titchfield. First home game was vs Spurs in 1990. Gazza played a blinder and I think it ended 1-1. First away game was at West Ham (!) a few years later
-
West ham would have won the league weeks ago....

This. With that squad and their resources WHU should be walking this league. Their home record is almost as bad as our away record -
7 wins in a row is mighty impressive lets not deny it but law of averages says this cant carry on. I saw them beat Boro 2-0 and while efficient they are nothing to be afraid of. As long as we beat them at our place we can put our destiny in our own hands
-
Although we won on Saturday, the way we played suggests you might be right. But with Lallana back to knit the midfield together a bit more and hold the ball up, we should play better and we still have an awesome record at home....
-
There are quite a few Saints players on Twitter that I follow... Jos, Lallana, Sharp, Chappers, Jahdi, Cork, Richardson, De Ridder...its great hearing their banter!
-
Or you could say they are due a defeat?!
-
Don't agree. We put 5 past them earlier this season!
-
They have won six in a row I think Simple law of averages says that can't continue They would have been seething watching our result tonight And have a tougher run in
-
Spookily accurate!
-
If I was Billy Sharp I would track him down and get some heavies to kick the **** out of him
-
bale is ridiculously good, easily world class, easily worth £50m+ if only we had kept that sell on clause! WHU 1 (Maynard) Saints 1 (Sharp)
-
I think generally Adkins prefers to play Guly for home games and so will opt for Puncheon tomorrow night as I think his work rate will be higher than Gulys. Nothing wrong with rotating that position - as he says its not about 11 but the whole squad. In Nige We Trust!
-
Punch should start this one. Think he could have a good game. I am going for a 1-1 which would be a decent result, although their home form has been dodgy and they have had some funny results at Upton park

Realistic Expectations for the rst of the season...

Agreed - and I think if we can get Sharp and Lambert firing together on all cylinders and tighten up our defence then top 2 finish is still realistic target -

I said last week to jump on Birmingham to win the league each way at 9-1...now they are 6-1 and shortening I expect Saints to be in the Top 6 but not automatic, although would have taken that at the start of the season! -
I should think that as most of the snow is forecast from the afternoon onwards, and NOT before the match, then it will go ahead.
-
Given Birmingham's form and game in hand I am amazed that they are still 9/1 to win the league (especially with WHU and Saints inconsistent form) Just put a tenner on them each way at that price!
-
What about Radio solent will they be playing it?
-
Well England once had Phil Babb and Nicky Butt in the same side...you only needed Boon playing in between them and hey presto!
-
It was a 'done deal' in December according to many sources But it seems Sharp was the back up choice after Hooper deal fell through
-
Sharp, Lee, Lambert, Guly, Barnard, Connolly - great set of strikers!
-
I know, I was just trying to get this thread to 50 pages before Hooper signs/doesn't sign
-
A highly ambiguous and essentially meaningless statement
-
23 pages of discussion so far - what a waste of everyone's time if we dont even sign him!
