I'm sorry but i just do not understand the need to sell Chambers for that amount. A player who is getting better and who,to me anyway,shows the potential to be usefully versatile for us. Why do we have to sell?? This is just getting ridiculous ....

Come on now,we have no where near the back up Chelsea have and that wasnt the core last season. Agree with Saints Foreva.People do seem to have their heads in the sand!. Assuming Lovren leaves and probably Morgan,we would have a starting line up with somewhere around 150 appearances between them! What with the lack of Premier League experiences between the replacements,this season could be a massive struggle with too much pressure being put on the kids coming through. Just to be clear,i WANT Saints to succeed. Just think people are assuming the replacements are literally like for like when they are not.

With around 5 weeks left of the window and us being probably 5 players short (More perhaps with transfers out), are we leaving it too late for a decent start to the campaign? I only ask as our fixture list could be seen as being kind to us in the opening month or two, but i fear we may not have the settled squad to take advantage of it.Centre backs need to get used to each other and their goalkeeper etc. I'm not expecting anything above a mid-table finish but if we are to bring in that amount of players it will surely take too much time to achieve even this goal. Unless of course the youngsters will be given an opportunity first....

So we know we are after a GK,LB and a ST.What other positions would we strengthen? Assuming Lovren leaves (I don't think a return is COMPLETELY out the question) then a CB is a must. So,if we are after 6 players,would it be the following: GK,LB,CB 2xST...And 1 more.... Will just add,would LOVE Nathan Redmond.

To be honest we should be looking at the teams that went down to get possible recruitments.The likes of Dejagah and Ruiz from Fulham,Marshall Caulker and Medel from Cardiff and Redmond possibly Ruddy from Norwich.These are all players who i feel could improve the squad,have decent attitudes and unlikely to demand transfers if we don't finish above Chelsea. Could probably even sign all of them for the fee we got from Shaw and Lambert alone!
