  1. Well we decided to go to the ticket office this morning to renew, as our electricity is being cut off today due to maintenance by Southern Electric, and our mobile reception is poor. Got there 0915hrs and joined a short queue. The shutters were opened at 0930hrs, where two people were situated ready for the rabble! My word was it a slow process. A number of the people were turned away as it was not their renewal window, and those that were able to renew, it was generally a 15-20 minute process each time. Therefore, 5-6 people an hour were getting processed. Now, no blame or criticism to those two staff members behind the counter, but the Club surely should have had more than two windows open. Choices for like-for-like seating was very limited, as block 37 is already occupied, and 47-48 are safe standing. Four blocks into two doesn't work. You can of course request to move once the deadline for renewals has passed, and the Club will do its best to accommodate like-for-like seating. Oh, and the car park at the Stadium was closed as well
  2. In essence, the club is asking the entire Itchen south contingent to move into six blocks probably already 60% full with ST Holders, without paying 120 quid extra. They'll be some peeps that have already moved, but I don't think it's going to work. There's six of us in our group, I think getting 3 seats together x2 is going to be am issue.
  3. Bin awful kenzie and that other herbert, and give Mark Dennis the mic every pre match....!
  4. Ross Stewart not warming up whereas ty dibling is?
  5. Looks like I'll be in the kids zone now...!
  6. Win the next two, which will be difficult of course, and it's level pegging with Leeds on points before they play again. Baby steps to the improbable!
  7. Even if Saints wins all 5 of the games left, they still need Leicester to drop further points to go up automatically. As it stands, they can only finish 3rd if they do indeed achieve 15/15 (Leeds would be 4th). Ipswich 98 Leicester 97 Southampton 96 Leeds 93
  8. We've heard of the blue screen of death, sky showing a black screen with a clock. It's all Jack Stephens' fault.
  9. As I said in another thread, what worried me today was that Saints were ooking for a out of position centre back, whom is playing at left back and wandering into central midfield, to be our main creative genius. It worked a treat, didn't it.
  10. Not only is Jack a central defender, turned central-midfielding left back, he seems to be looked at as the main playmaker in the side as well now, at least on today's evidence.
  11. Saints woeful defensively, creating chances but not taking them; need to step up. Shouldn't be conceding two to this Birmingham team. Need a rejuvenation in the second half if we want any chance to secure the 3 points. Smallbone to go off, and Rothwell to come on too, he doesn't look good enough on the ball for me. Adams looking shaky too, but was very unlucky not to score. Brooks looks fantastic, and so does Stu so need to keep this aggression on the ball going into the second half. COYR update: good fight back, ARIBO OH!
  12. any links to watch the game anyone? would be much appreciated
  13. In block 12/13 there was strong verbals being shouted between two sets of saints fans. as pair 1 were leaving early. After they returned to the row to confront pair 2, and then walking down the stairs again, the concluding comment was "we'll see you outside you ducking retard." I wonder how that ended up.
  14. I would... but I suspect he might even be rested anyway given he played on Tuesday against Watford.
  15. Bazunu KWP THB Stephens* Manning Rothwell Smallbone Brooks AA Mara Edozie. *Bednarek is on 9 yellows....
  16. Texted my mate at half time "45 mins to prove they are promotion contenders or play off certainties...." and it took 5. Subs really stepped upto the plate and can see 4 of the 5 starting at Bristol... Sulemana probably kept on the bench as an impact sub, much like Fraser was.
  17. Lumley Stephens THB Bednarek Meghoma Charles Rothwell Dibling SAA Adams Edozie Maybe Saturday try the Brooks AA Fraser combo!
  18. The XI were on it from the off today, and had it not be for the Rotherham keeper it would have been far more comfortable before the intensity reduced second half. The selection on Tuesday will be interesting.... mega changes last time resulted in the worst performance seen since September. Stephens will play, but maybe it'll have to be at RB if KWP is rested.
  19. Lumley Holgate THB Stephens Meghoma Charles Rothwell Alcaraz ???? Mara ??? Could be anyone. Do you risk Fraser or will there be an incoming winger this week?

    Stephens

When Stephens came on, he disrupted the entire back line. KWP had to get used to Bednarek on his side. Bednarek had to get used to playing on the right side of the defence and with KWP. Manning lost Bednarek and gained Stephens on his side. Stephens was also culpable of being too deep on a few occasions as everyone else pushed up. Rm had his reasons of course. but against better finishing it could and perhaps would have been two points dropped. However, 3 points. Move on.
  21. I'm petrified that the Manning Chasm is slowly showing signs of opening up!
  22. Manning doing his usual crossfield runs into no-man's-land, leaving his flank exposed.
  23. I can't see Manning getting back in until 2024 now either... and the team looks so much better with Bree on the right and KWP on the left as well... as opposed to the opposite way around.
  24. Certainly the most enjoyable game at St Marys for some time. Ideally same starting XI next week, but I believe both Downes and Smallbone will be suspended so Alcaraz/Fraser slot in along with Charles... therefore, there could be a few goals in the game again
