We currently have too many academy players who have got used to losing. Unfortunately AL is one of them. Where is Hoddle's Mystic Meg these days?
-
Just back from Bournemouth. I think we have just witnessed the worst team Saints ever and the way now has to be up. Let's face it, the relegated team less all the better outfield players who have left and no one in, it cant get worse. The playing the game across the park introduced by Burley is still very evident and subbing Kelvin at half time hardly helped. The no11 (Boyle?) was never in the game and apart from Perry , Gillet and Wotton no one took it above a stroll in the park. The habit of losing has to go. Anyway, as we sung - 'We've got 2.5 billion' A month to get it all together. Let's go and snell Herr Liebherr.
-
Fantastic news at last, we've finally got a chance of an upturn. Thank you Herr Liebherr. Now please replace that Doncaster train photo with a decent cuckoo clock. COYR

I love the censoring - Juntion 3 M3 is LighT WATer !!!
-
Liebherr are everywhere! Just come past the roadworks at M3 Junction 3 (Ligh****er). The piling rigs on the hard shoulder have Liebherr on them like Komatsu or Bomag, so heavy industrial equipment it is.

Probably not Katalinic only more straw clutching.

Red Bull saints anyone ?
-
Keegan if Pinnacle come up with the money he wants ...mmm.

Have dipped in and out of here whilst the takeover sorts itself out. i love the way Mr Lynam, presumably ITK, posts updates and everyone else chips in with non-information questioning the ablility of TL and also someone in a profession as meticulous as an Administrator. Only on a public forum- it's great to read !

Oliver Bierhoff - I even got the fake shirt !
-
Ah when KR Junior showed Newcastle / Keegan tendencies as a six year old he was dragged down to The Dell . 12 years of suffering later there is no way out - Saints till they die !!

Strange post on the bbc website: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8094975.stm I love the way Wotte said: "If Matt Le Tissier wants to help the club for a better future we have to open the doors and invite him." I'm confused as to who is which side of what door !!

BBC have the story too: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/southampton/8072132.stm

Is it what happens when they're impaled on a five bar gate which the horse has refused?
-
Have you a deal yet with Carlsberg, Nick ?
-
Thank you Leon for both the loan and the nod. The fact he is prepared to loan funds at such a precarious time suggests that a buyer has been found and is near to closing the deal. Leon must be ITK that a deal is close, otherwise why loan the money to a business shortly to be shut down.

Lee Saint, I have reckoned for years that football clubs generally get back to where they started, generally on about a 20 year cycle.
-
Rugby ? It's included in a world cup bid and from my limited knowledge it appears rugby seems to be going regional with its clubs. How about 'Solent Saints' with a reappearance by SCW !!!
-
Er, sorry to be a bit of a luvvy, but Lloyd Webber is nothing to do with Les Mis!!!
-
I hate that argument, often used to make excuses for the excessive greed of ignorant mercenaries who also are lucky enough to be able to control an inflated sphere. In this ever changing world everyone potentially has a career with a short shelf life. Then when they least expect it or want it, they have to retrain as something else using technology they have little experience of. It's a tough world - get used to it footballers, every one else has to. Top post Stu.

I remember Goram was rather large and not at his best that day !

I must eat my yoghurt, it's reached its sell by date.

Fame at last Nick ! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/funny_old_game/8029269.stm Bottom of page after other Saints related chants etc.

I understand from reading the last 2000 posts that they are no longer front runners.
