How ignorant is Warnock, advising Danns to stay against the administrators need to sell players to raise urgent funds before the transfer deadline.
-
Isn't it great having a little money when everyone around us is broke. ML and NC couldn't have timed their football venture any better and I bet they realise it.

I dont agree that he should start but he is an excellent impact player, like today.

Scored both for Palace today !

Puncheon Signs 3 1/2 Yr Contract at Saints
Kingsland Red replied to Somewhere In Northam's topic in The Saints
I like our transfer policy - see who causes us problems and then sign them, who needs an expensive scouting network !!!! -
As ML owns the club the loan is, to all intents and purposes, to himself. When he comes to sell, the club will only be worth the assets at that time. ie the stadium;Staplewood, which he is improving; and the playing squad which he is improving. Any buyer would not want to inherit any debt he has accumulated along the way. I think we have to trust him and be grateful that at the moment he is spending. If we reach the premiership it will be interesting to see how ML reacts to the larger sums involved.

As Pompey have to pay Gaydamak the balance - £22m, in 2012, it is not in his interests that they go under !!

Jason Puncheon to Saints according to SSN
Kingsland Red replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Potential stumbling block noted in Sky article: "Though the Pilgrims have concurred on terms with Southampton, it is thought MK Dons would also have to agree to rip up the current loan arrangement". -
My son has gone back to uni but wants me to get him a ticket for the Pompey game. Does he need to queue with me (like the MK Dons game) or travel the length of the country twice, once to queue, once for the game ?

I am the same and yes, you are on the data base.

Nothing in the Echo you cannot find on the internet, like all newspapers, a dinosaur struggling to justify its existence. Best ignored.

The 'it's not the end of the world' thread

As against Millwall, last night we fielded a defence including three new players. Give them a chance! -
The 'it's not the end of the world' thread
Kingsland Red replied to SO16_Saint's topic in The Saints
Realistically the only play off place we're chasing is the 6th one currently occupied by Millwall 13 points ahead of us.The five teams above that are all on good form showing no signs of flagging. I reckon a point away and three at home, ie 4 out of every 6 is good enough, hence joining this thread ! -
Bees(0) vs Saints (1)- first half and half-time thread
Kingsland Red replied to sad saints fan's topic in The Saints
Just noticed the bench tonight for Saints, all relatively experienced first team players .Strength in depth at last. -
Gravesend Saint, where are you ? !!!

With a little patience could we have got Fonte for nothing?
-
With the embargo lifted it would be a foolish club CEO allowing his club to sell players to Pompey without getting the full payment before the HMRC winding up order. The Udinese experience must have warned the wider world about their cashflow, or lack of. EDIT: Embargo is partially lifted - they can only sign free transfers and loans which intimates that the EPL dont trust them !

Good job we never believe the red tops ! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2822288/FA-Cup-fifth-round-draw.html

To exorcise the Amarillo at Fratton debacle something along the lines of: Is this the way to win at football Millions and you have a big fall Dreaming dreams of former glories As the taxman cripples you. La la la etc ( To Amarillo of course.)

Brilliant, if they still exist !!!

Bale's energy was impressive in the Championship so he would be great here now. My Spuds chums tell me he is not popular at Spurs who have yet to win a league game with him in the side. Apparently the nearest he got was2-0 at Everton when he came on as sub - they drew 2-2.

Not unduly worried about Paterson. Good to be a club that lives in the 'now' rather than continuously developing for the future and then the future falling around us.

I think Lambert will get a rest when it's mathematically impossible for us to get in the play offs. He is one of those players that wants to play each game and will always give at least a 7 out of 10.
