  1. "The scheduled High Court hearing is still expected to go ahead on Monday. But it is understood that HMRC will inform the judge they are dropping their challenge to the appointment of administrator Andrew Andronikou." I wonder if HMRC have anything else up their sleeve for Monday ..............
  2. Gaydamak is owed about £9m which should have been paid in January, with the balance paid by 2012. Chainrai's debt currently has no timescales other than he will not release the ground until he has been paid. His loan for administration would increase any debt. With the PFC debt substantially greater than assets and ongoing income it is going to take a very philanthropic owner with a bottomless pit of funds to keep the business going for the next few years until these two are paid off in full.
  3. Maybe Jacob, working for no PFC payment but sacked by Fuglers, and Storrie are being kept busy until Monday when their arrests will preceed the court hearing. I wonder where Chanrai will be by Monday ?
  4. If they've found something then the administrators, like the FA and EPL, may be practicing masterful inactivity and allowing the annoymous grey suits of HMRC to pull the trigger on Monday.
  5. Although described by The9 as being xenophobic when this cropped up about a week ago, I still find it unbelievable that an Israeli gun runner and his son, a couple of fake sheikhs and their cohorts with accounts in the BVI choose dear old Blighty as the best country in the world to attempt to launder money.
  6. I think that the current economic climate will mean that the EPL is not quite as it is now in 3-4 years time. FIFA, UEFA and financial prudence will probably have some input in the way it is regulated.
  7. I wouldnt bother with The Hamptons, we spent a relaxing week out there a couple of years ago, relaxing but not a lot to see. How about Newport Rhode Island, up the coast and a happening place, or Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard. Southwards Washington DC is a a obviously good place for sight seeing.
  8. To get an overall general impression and find your bearings for the following days I recommend the open top bus tour. If you get a three day pass you can use it as a hop-on- hop -off bus in lieu of the subway / taxis and save money. Do the uptown and downtown tours. The John Lennon memorial 'Strawberry Fields' opposite the Dakota Building and in Central Park is worth a visit. My sons loved the Nike midtown store and as posted above, get the Staten Island ferry past the statue of Liberty rather than the boat trips. Spend an evening in Times Square. To see a musical visit the last minute box office off Times Square and save a load of money. The fire engine at Ground Zero is very poignant A concierge in the hotel will print off maps / directions to all these places. Enjoy !
  9. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...le-groundshare I like this bit: Mike Hall, a trust member and key architect of the proposal, said: "The initial plan is to use Fratton Park, and only move if this is unavailable. If we were able to stay I would expect the average gate to be higher in the Conference than it has been in the Premier League this season."
  10. Saw O'Hara on Sky lamenting that staff like the tea lady are going on Monday. She must be a well paid tea lady (Mrs Storrie?) to make any impact on saving significant costs. I would expect O'Hara and other loanees to be the first out if the Andy the Bubble is serious.

  12. Since the lottery started I have always had the same 6 numbers. On the basis that one day they will be the winning numbers, can I apply for Camelot to pay out my winnings. I think not Mr Andy the Bubble.
  13. Aldershot (Combined Counties League ) or Maidstone (Kent League) were 'phoenix' clubs formed after the demise of FL clubs.
  14. As usual, I can confirm I was at St Marys Stadium last evening.
  15. It's people like you NickH that are the backbone of this fine country. You demand fair play, level playing fields and punishment fitting the crime and for that I respect you !! As my Grandma used to tell me, "Don't worry lovey, it will turn out for the best". Here's hoping.
  16. Just back. I bet the clubs in the play off positions are terrified Saints get in there. Ripped this side apart, hard to see how they are 6th and unbeaten in 12. Saints had winners in all 11 positions. Keep that team plus Connolly and we should be there or there abouts.
  17. Apologies, too much social political comment The9. I thought The Lounge was a bit more broad in discussion than the main forum, a bit like a gentlemen's club, chewing the fat over a glass of port and a cuban cigar !! Anyway, COYR indeed tonight, on my way !
  18. I wonder how many of the players are either on loan or their contracts run out at the end of this season. Whilst Storrie's valuation is £38m, HMRC suggest £21m. However apart from Wilson just being signed on for a further 3 years the monetary value of the squad is probably way less than £21m and yet they sit as assets in the books.
  19. My point being that, like Londonistan harbouring terrorists and Russia's most wanted, funded by social services, until HMRC got involved with this one all parties seemed to have license to carry out whatever they wished moving monies around to suit. Hardly xenophobic. maybe an observation that other than first world countries , most of the world operates like this and yet these characters chose dear old GB ( and NI) to undertake such manoeuvres.
  20. Hong Kong, BVI, Dubai, Israel, Saudi and yet they chose the UK to find and use a vehicle for money laundering. Hail the HMRC for making a determined stand. With a similar action against terrorists on the Londonistan front, this country might be GREAT Britain again some day rather than the banana republic status we seem to have acquired over the last 10 years. A someone said earlier - COYHMRC.
  21. Since this thread started and we have followed the fortunes of the various parties I was begimnning to believe we lived in a banana republic. Thank goodness HMRC have demanded some accountability. Sure it's been posted before but Portsmouth News are live in court: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/custompages/custompage.aspx?pageid=81796
  22. I agree (and did 20 pages ago). Now the court / HMRC also has the SoA and presumably other documents their evidence must be more watertight. PFC have had the media platform since their court hearing. Finally we will get to hear their opponents views on their 'business'.
  23. HMRC certainly took their time. If they were certain of PFC trading insolvently at the court appearance in February then any financial deckchair movement would have made no difference before last Friday when they were supposed to make their announcement regarding PFC avoiding them by moving into administration. Maybe justice will be done.
  24. Be persistent , after most of the day I got through a while ago. Redial button worn out though.
  25. No. Ticket stubs are not accepted. The ticket office need customer number and ideally the MK Dons game ticket order number.
