  1. I can confirm that apart from a few random folk clapping, the Kingsland stand around the press gantry were certainly not standing or many clapping BWP, who is still cr*p.
  2. Erm - the Plymouth site reckons the lad is still 16 so a gamble in the McGoldrick league ! http://www.pafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~2331020,00.html
  3. No bad thing, especially as he is often man marked. By going out wide and players like Lallana drifting inside, the opposition defenders will struggle to pick up the players and thus create openings for the runners from midfield . QED.
  4. NA has kept on about posting a message of intent to the rest of the league. It's been a while coming, Bournemouth away being the best so far, but today, that's intent right there, not knowing when you're beaten. Proud to be Saints COYR
  5. Try http://www.snowfocus.com for a great family chalet holiday where all mix with their own and the children are very well looked after when off the slopes. Based in Chatel, Porte du Soleil, a large linked area on the French / Swiss border south of Lake Geneva, 40 minutes from Geneva Airport from where you will be collected.
  6. It must get to Posh and Hudders seeing Saints circling with games in hand ready for the kill. Control the controllables lads, get on that bus, /stay in the building etc and BELIEVE - We are going up ! COY (Super) Reds
  7. As posted earlier, Level 1 is easy and all Tyro (under 8-15) managers have the qualification. To get anywhere you need UEFA B or the pro license. Most managers in the Wessex are around this level and it still doesn't pay well, so I wouldn't hang you hat on it financially. Contacts at the level you work with is what is required.
  8. The costs are interesting if they cover the fee Cortese charges. My youth side has reached the U16 City of Southampton Youth League Cup Final, to be played at St Marys on 23 May ( provided Saints are not in the play offs we are told). The league foot the bill for that one I think.
  9. BWP booked for timewasting in the 87th - nope 47th minute. What is that boy on ?
  10. Good, no last minute goals this time around. Now lets win at Charlton, go second and stay there. OK , I know, we're the Saints.
  11. At least he writes his own programme notes: 'The players have been working hard as a collective group ( what else could a group be?) of hard working professionals all rowing in the same direction' (rowing ?)
  12. 'Liebherr Wonderland (One Markus Liebherr) ' was sung a fair bit in the second half Nick G.
  13. Love the echo sound around St Marys when the whole ground is singing - awesome. (Best atmosphere at St Marys - last ten v Sheffield United, Stern John off etc; and Norwich at home in the Premier, Camara etc I reckon)
  14. Time to recall Punscheon then !
  15. Strange being a Saints supporter these days. Both Saints and our main adversaries winning week in week out. Hard to get used to, after years of backs to the wall struggling against the drop with points being dropped all over the place.
  16. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-News-Nottingham-Forest-have-turned-their-attention-to-Newcastle-s-Dannie-Guthrie-after-missing-out-on-Leicester-s-Matt-Oakley-article713565.html He's played for us and I'm sure Pardew owes us one for the poor start to the season !!!!!!!
  17. Great result, plenty to build on in the run in. COYR
  18. Comfortable 3-0 win against a poor team who offered little threat. My only criticism is that we dont play with a swagger, but look tentative, none more so than Davis who likes to explore every option at least twice before getting the ball out. A bit early to get nervy with 13 games still to play.
  19. I've always had a strange admiration for the simplicity of 'Sh*t on the Villa' sung by the Brummies, to the tune of 'Roll out the Barrel'. Nothing too complicated but obvious hatred, compared with say the longevity of 'When I was just a little boy'.
  20. Too many players with answers, Danny Butterfield being the latest, ref the Echo link above. Lads , it's time to stop the talking and JUST DO IT. 'Die for the club' attitude from now on please.
  21. RIP Big Man. One of the best.
  22. Even worst than his mate McGoldrick's efforts in our Dutch season? Must have been a really feeble effort
  23. He works in the USA with a soccer franchise (not sure which one, Seattle ?) and is a 'soccer'pundit on the local TV channel.
  24. Littleton v Winchester in any age group used to be a bit tasty - forget the ball and get on with the game type matches ! What about a Rio de Janeiro derby with the rival gangs controlling large sections of the city?
  25. The Mule has gone to Meltdown Donnie, currently in danger of finishing below P*mpey ! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/d/doncaster/9401170.stm
