  1. I struggled through the LvG autobiography on holiday this summer. What a bore, so far up his own and very inflexible tactically and in his man management. RK certainly won their dual when at Ajax and maybe is a better tactician and man manager anyway.Unfortunately our man just spends too much time getting on with the job rather than wallowing in the glory of it all !
  2. If all hands free / blue tooth into the car audio system phone calls are banned, small/ medium businesses like mine wouldn't survive long. I do a lot of work whilst travelling to and from sites.
  3. Good Saints performance, several players looking ready for time with the first team, notably Omar Rowe and Ryan Seagar as well as those already there. And Gazzaniga looked comfortable too.
  4. Wow, we're disappointed we lost to the reigning league champions, that's a massive step up in expectations. We march on. COYR !
  5. Is that what we going to face from now on, a home team defending deep / parking the bus and not allowing the forwards any space at all? Thank goodness we have offensive minded players across the pitch. PS What was Forster doing ?
  6. Don't under estimate Yompey, albeit we cruised past them in the cup last year.
  7. Fine work in reaching the magic 100,000 Nutjobs, but unless the Skates can sink lower than being in the bottom division and losing to a non-league team, this thread can only now chart their slow climb upwards. Or maybe not ?
  8. If any club is mad enough to offer top dollar for JRod, I can see the club taking it. Gazza and Shearer ( I think) were never the same after a similar injury, and as Ron like his wingers to be 'nippy' and Jay would not displace Graziano, I'm not sure where he would fit in…..
  9. If true, stick him on a long period of gardening leave.
  10. His media interviews are awful - always in the present tense and unable to elaborate on any point. The idea of the translator getting more information out of him was another innovative solution from our classy back room team that the North London yobs failed to implement.
  11. I don't think we need to keep the team on the pitch, the individuals, together, as better offers will come for them. What we seem to be able to do is maintain the spirit of the team and Markus's desire to play quality football with a top manager in charge. As I have posted before , I believe our Black Box operatives get in intelligent, well balanced individuals with a desire to take on instructions to benefit the team, rather than buy marque individuals like Ballotelli or di Maria who appear to be signed to do their own thing. Although seemingly doing a good job, Puncheon or Ramirez seemed incapable of doing this and rather than persist with them, they are moved on.
  12. Excellent - No trophy signings, just players who had a bit of form for a season and a scouser returning home .
  13. Saints are making up for that record people used to post on here before Markus took over. Something along the lines of us having one of the poorest winning percentages in English league football. Who's laughing now !
  14. Fantastic facility and what a legacy left by Markus. Proud beyond belief of our club, after watching the tour and opening videos. Once again, I salute you and Katharina, Sir !
  15. Blimey, a Poch team won after going behind, there's a first !
  16. Olivier Bernard never wanted to be our left back - he disappeared to central midfield most of the time.
  17. Against ten men…..

This , Top Man. I remember his interview after we drew at Chelsea and he knew he was on his way out.
  19. It has been covered elsewhere but the media have still not picked up on the fact that Saints appear to scout players who can take on instructions and have a brain. Poch will struggle at Spurs with the current players as they do not take on board his instructions. His post match interview rips into their mental approach. Oh and as we know he has no Plan B !
  20. By the laws of probability sometime in the next, say, 20 years a club outside the usual top seven will finish in the top four. Maybe it could be Saints during Koeman's watch.

    Sadio

Great shift today, kept bouncing up again after being floored; tracked back all game closing space, and getting the tackles in. Very quick feet and an excellent reaction when the ball came back to him to get the goal. I had never heard of him before he signed but what a dynamic player. MoM today for me. COYR
  22. That's the family of football - right there.Real football fans travelling to watch matches. So glad you had a great day. (Can we have your flag !)
  23. What else could Forster have done, he came off his line to block the shot, such that Fletcher had to move the ball in another direction to get it past him. Job done !
  24. Agree with all of that TopGun, especially the point that Sunderland were only rubbish once we dominated them. In he 15 minutes between about 65-80 minutes they capitulated. For the previous hour we were better at finishing than them. I think Shearer missed this on MOTD2 when he said we were allowed to control the match, if that were Man City the media would have purred.
