  1. PSG v Barcelona in the Champions League last 16....
  2. First visit back to St Marys since the Newcastle match. I thought it was a good, intensive game; which Saints contributed to as much as City with our non-stop press. JWP was constantly on the move; Romeu and Vestergaard broke up so many attacks with decent tackles / interceptions; KWP did well down the right. As usual at St Marys, the fans found a Skate, a dying bread in this league, ( Saggy?) in the commentary gantry on the Northam, and dished it out. Apart from it being bloody cold , a good day out with some return to normality in strange times. Thank you to the stewards for their friendly, logical but authoritative approach to guide us to and from our seats from that nasty world outside.
  3. Sorted it - you have to go to 'purchase history'. You will have two adjacent seats - presumably one being the one left empty
  4. Likewise - got the email confirming a Man City ticket but opening all available tabs on my ticket account web page, cannot see where the tickets are available to download (?)
  5. For the Saints supporters Badger, yes. For us they had one job to do and failed despite coming to the club with reasonable CVs and a degree of expectation. Not so Saggy or Wise.
  6. Surprised no mention of Puel so far, a manager who knocked all my enthusiasm out of watching Saints. Also his total lack of respect for the travelling Saints fans by putting out a weakened side in a match we would have loved to have won in Milan. I can cope with bolsy ars*s, managers well out of their depth, Pulis types who tactic seems to be keep the ball away from the pitch, but a non event like Puel who sent us to sleep during a press conference was never a leader of men, let alone a club. I have recovered my enthusiasm . Thank you Ralph.
  7. From his performances for the Saints I don't think he has enough pace, or speed of mind, to play in the Premier League.
  8. I think the success of Ralph's system, a bit like what Poch put in place, is the players buying into the system and being very fit for the training and high press in matches. The player needs to have a suitable mental approach and appreciate the need to work hard when working off the ball to regain possession. I do not think that suits a top 6 team with prima donnas in the eleven that know better and a scouting system that has a limitless budget. Many very good coaches have found this to their cost , like Koeman (Everton), LVG or Moyes Manchester United), all having to buy big names to immediately give a response on the field, with little patience provided for building a squad of players suitable for the system.
  9. Great performance . Comfortable against a team that we were told beforehand were the real deal. ( credit where it's due, they did invent the dug out )
  10. Theo will be making his first Premier League appearance for Saints
  11. Found it on twitter - apparently £400k
  12. In all the excitement, does any ITK know if we got a fee for selling Klarer to Fortuna Dussseldorf ?
  13. Boufal always reminded me of the lad who could dribble around all the kids in the, playground but never had any impact on a football field. Every Tyro manager has given them at least one game in pre season.
  14. That was some justice for all trash we've watched Burnley serve up at St Marys whilst sneaking results....
  15. Former academy player Will Wood has joined Ebbsfleet United. They will play in National League South, having been relegated by 0.02 of a point after the season was stopped.
  16. Fantastic team effort, well done Saints. We rode our luck but defensively were awesome closing the space down and blocking everything goal bound.
  17. I have renewed our two season tickets today, but have had to advise the ticket office we have only received a discount carried from this season on one 20-21 ticket.
  18. Well done Ralph, we have come back very sharp and didn't need to bring on subs until the 80th minute.
  19. Ricardo Fuller was the ultimate barn doors and banjoes merchant, but nothing infuriated me more than the casual way McGoldrick used to confidently stroke penalties wide of the goal.
  20. Fraser Forster back to his human wind sock best .
  21. No forward will out wave or point the awesome Graziano - the best of on field traffic policeman we've ever had - manoeuvring his team mates to where he thinks they should be.
  22. If you're in the away end take a telescope for when the football is beyond the half way line. Awful ground to watch football.
  23. It's as though she had been handed the book of awful generic football commentator quotes from Motson to Pearce, just fill in the name of the player.
  24. So did nobody in the Puel set up notice his being better than our centre backs; he never showed it in training; or he was on a massive play and pay deal ?
  25. I never understood Caceres time at our club. We signed a good international player as a free agent and never played him. It's as if he came here for a paid holiday.
