How many of those were scored by the outgoing Pelle and Mane ? Therein lies the problem Puel and MP have failed to resolve . Let's stop buying defenders like Bednarski or midfield players like Boufal and blow the entire transfer budget on one or two overpaid prima donna goalscorers next summer, if it's not too late.

Top Man - he, with others, made following the Saints a pleasure again.
-
Shane Long must have set the record for games played as a 'striker' without scoring ( at a guess getting near 25 )
-
I didn't research his Saints career before posting, just remember him carry a bit of timber and ambling down the wing on the Kingsland side of the pitch. So glad the incumbent manager saw the light.
-
Neil McCann was probably the worst of the lot by some, but a call out for Andrei Kanchelski.
-
Exactly- one of the best examples of a player who's second touch was a tackle.

The club are signing square pegs for round holes, i.e. players that don't suit the system the club wishes to play If we are to play a high press game, for differing reasons players like Austin ( slow), Boufal (feeble), Tadic ( falls over) and JWP ( nowhere near robust enough) are not the sort of player required. Puel ended up putting out a defensive team because we didn't score goals, and I would anticipate Pellegrino will have to do the same until we sort this out.

Saints 0 Watford 2 - Match & Meltdown
Kingsland Red replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
This, and if they don't step up soon Pellegrino will have to set up to keep a clean sheet and hope for a lucky goal, just like Puel ended up doing. -
Certainly got no pleasure from his first England goal !
-
Solid game, timing of tackles was very good, good distribution and looking to pass forward as well as carry the ball into the space in front. Presumably only got 65 minutes due to a lack of match fitness.

Wesley Hoedt from Lazio says Sky rumours. Anyone know anything about him ?
-
Tidy passing, higher pressing and the youngsters looked hungry. All in all a good work out.
-
Still have nightmares about back passes to Jones, worst distribution of a Saints keeper bar none.

Our half-witted fans don't know how lucky they are

Far too sensible for this forum. Probably why many no longer bother to read the threads / post, albeit nothing ever happens between the end of the season and about now anyway. -
I must be getting old as I do not worry about our squad until before the first game. The media reports these summers since we came back to the top division are dominated by clubs like Liverpool or Chelsea always over rating other club's players in lieu of the ones they have coached themselves; and the media and other duplicate websites making up any old rubbish for the purposes of social media debate. What a waste of time and effort.

£12M is incredible for a player who looked all season as though he had not fully recovered from his injury. I will always remember the great goal at Fulham. Beyond that ,unfortunately its a series of missed chances like the many in the first half at Milan.

Strange post. I spent long parts of matches this last seson on 'player watch', watching JRod ball watching, rather than anticipating / gambling and Boufal beat several players and fall over. JWP had a good season with no evidence of being demoralised and Clasie is not really good enough for the robustness of the Premier League. (Hojberg may have reason to moan but he doesn't get a mention in the post ). With only eleven places up for grabs , how is a manager supposed to react to a poor performance ?

Although academic now, JRod, Long, Tadic and Boufal should be having a long hard look at themselves and their stats for last season.

Multiple occupation buildings would have a fire certificate -
Flammable Cladding and Exploding Fridges

Before a product ,like say Celotex, comes to the UK construction market it would be tested at the BRE (Building Research Establishment) facilities at Warrington, and given a relevant certificate for its inertness, or spread of flame etc. This certification would be produced by the cladding contractor for the design team to submit to the local building control authority / local fire officer for any project. If the BRE certification is satisfactory then the onus would surely be on them. However, if the cladding should have been compartmentated at each flats boundary, i.e. at floor level, the floor above and each side; with an inert material such as Supalux or a Gyproc Fireline board, then this would be a failure of the design teaming not specifying this. Update : Celotex RS5000 has a Class 0 fire rating which is the nearest to inert you can get and is required for all public buildings - stations, airports etc https://www.celotex.co.uk/products/rs5000 -
My somewhat cynical thought too ! I hope that Lander have some substance behind them and we are not heading towards what is known as "Going down the Pompey".

I think your age is confusing your child hood films - it was Maria von Trapp who took a clutch of kids over the hill; and Mary f****n Poppins went over the roof tops (step in time) with **** van Dyke ( no relation)

I believe VVD is abroad with a couple of Saints fitness guys getting himself back up to speed for pre season ?

I posted a similar missive on this or another thread a couple of weeks ago. Puel was dealt his hand and can only work to players strengths and cover their weaknesses. He cannot legislate for the negligence of JRod, Long, Tadic , Boufal and others in not being able to get a ball on target with enough power to ensure the keeper cannot react quickly enough. People paid far less manage this on a consistent basis, we struck unlucky.

Love it that the businessmen at Citeh are unfamiliar with the logic of supply and demand, poor impoverished souls.
