    Danny Ings

Proper relegation signing that would be.
  2. He's got a pretty negative opinion of commentary team vernacular, does SaintBobby.
  3. It was funny, though the fact that their satire of overwrought player announcements heavily uses footage from a video of last year revealing that the SE-Asian sweatshop shirts will henceforth have an Underarmor logo sewn on instead of an Adidas one does kind of mar the enjoyment. Compounded a bit further by the fact I don't think I have seen a more elaborate 'kit reveal' than the flipping two-episode cartoon of this year. Just seems kind of daft that wee humble Southampton mocks bigger clubs way of revealing new signings with 'Are we doing this right?' as if they aren't pioneers in making mountains out of mundane developments.
  4. In the case of binary options brokerage (a very murky underregulated and unaccountable world), a company like Banc de Binary being associated with Southampton will give them a legitimacy that a lot of other brokers do not have. It's not so much a case that sponsorship will make a person sign up for an account, rather make a person who was already intent on joining a brokers choose that company over others.
  5. Going into this a little more, the CEO has 455k followers on twitter and each of his tweets consistently garner around 1.3k likes and retweets. Seems extremely popular, until you click any given tweet and realise there is almost NEVER any replies. One would think if you had that much influence, you would be receiving a lot of interaction. It would seem the pay for followers/retweet/favourite services don't offer replies as part of the package. Something needs to be done about this. I do not exaggerate my claims that this guy is a scammer. Jesus.... https://twitter.com/OrenLaurent
  6. Binary Options is the thinking idiots answer to gambling, but unlike gambling stock flow chart data can vary in small margins from broker to broker and conveniently swindle you out of trades with an abrupt spike or crash in the currency pairing you have placed money on, yet be fruitful for somebody else placing money on at the same figure and same time with another broker. Oren Laurent, the CEO of Banc de Binary has got a pretty bad reputation and I am still shocked that this partnership has been forged. If you're reading this, please avoid BdB, and the B.O industry in general.
  7. I bet if his name was Stuarto Taylorzini, you cynics would be jizzing your pants in excitement.
  8. Struggling to see why Koeman was hesitant to ever field academy kids on this performance.
  9. Damn. We already have a pro manbabysitter in Hugo, now a professional mate in SKD.
  10. Agreed. Pretty sure Lallana would have been up there had every bannerwhim been satisfied.

    FIFA 17

Could never bring myself to buy one of these games again after foolishly buying FIFA 14 then 15 back to back to discover I am paying for an updated soundtrack, new UI and new sponsors on the kits. If EA was a 100% honest business (you can't really expect it to be, to be fair), each "new" game could probably be patched into the already existing one as DLC.
  12. Who will take us higher? Who will take us higher? Who will take us higher... SOUTHAMPTON IN EUROPA
  13. Does anyone know how the Black Box works anyway? I always assumed it ran off a similar technology to Professor Xavier's Cerebro, detecting flickering traces of lesser known footballers with fantastic qualities around the world.
  14. No-one else hoping this guy makes a comeback? He has unfinished business here.
  15. As long as it's not a bank/trading/betting/loanshark business, I'm happy.
  16. I certainly hope so. I would also hope that some of the players have enough humility to realise that being a Southampton star won't make them seamlessly transition into being a Man U/Arsenal/whatever star, were they to get a big move away.
  17. I am genuinely sorry to Alpine this thread up, but I don't find contract extensions/payrises reassuring at all. For instance, the last Southampton contract Lallana signed would still be active had he not left. Likewise Shaw would still be with us for the next two seasons.
  18. I think the crowd should boo some more. We always pick up a good result when the St. Mary's chorus is more concerned with trashtalking opponents than getting behind the Saints.
  19. It's more a promotional tag for the general state of affairs of Western Europe. Fortunately more people are realising their error of judgement (even in the comments section of the Guardian!) and waking up. The only people left are the hopelessly naive desperate to be on the right side of history, and those who want to witness the destruction of Europe.
  20. "The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it."
  21. Wish they weren't. It always feels like bad karma when some of the crowd are more concerned with jeering opposition than they are cheering on their own team.
  22. E's got unfinished business 'ere.
  23. You're thinking small. I think we should ban Spurs from playing at St. Mary's full stop. The 3 points from the game should be automatically awarded to us as compensation for the indignation we have suffered at their hands in the transfer market. This is to be in effect for the next 4 home fixtures against them. I would also be open to enforcing this policy on Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and anyone else who has unfairly purchased Southampton players in the last couple of years.
