I would very much like Wagner but we have Hughes now, I reckon it took so long for us to sign Hughes to a 3 year deal as the board were considering other options.

I actually quite like that lineup, especially for the counter attack.

I've come to the conclusion that we have been very bad at attacking since we haven't had a good target man to hold up the ball. We were good at attacking with Pelle and Lambert, pretty dire without bar the 1 Gabbiadini purple patch. So since 2016-17 IMO for clubs outside the top 6 wanting to get into the top half nearly everyone will need a Striker who is extremely good at holding up the ball. Only Leicester and Bournemouth seem to attack fine without Then with the centre back situation we have been very bad at defending but only since last season, Fonte left poorly replaced, VVD left looking like he's been poorly replaced... Vestergaard will hopefully come good but has been awful the last couple of games and clearly needs someone beside him who has pace or actual Premier League standards which Hoedt does not. (I would literally never play Hoedt for Southampton again unless it was in a back 3) So basically we will never be as good as we were from 2012-2016 at attacking and defending until we have an adequate centre back pairing and a very good Target man Seeing as Hughes seems the only man in Hampshire who rates Hoedt highly we are in for many more losses Depressing times.

Hughes picking Hoedt every game is the most questionable selection of any manager since we got back up to premier league

If Hoedt starts the next league game I want Hughes out. How can nearly every fan see how ****poor he is and not the manager? He's had over 12 months to improve and has got worse.

We look like we are going to be very dangerous going forward this season with Redmond Moi and Ings. Shame Long was the one on the end of a few chances and that we are the worst team in the league at defending and holding onto a lead at the moment,

The world cup was fun but we should have beat everyone we played bar Belgium. If we had lost to Sweden it would have been seen as a disaster.

Lallana was a late bloomer and started in the Championship but wasn't great. Had 2 great seasons in league 2 and became the player he was. Hopefully Jake does just as well.

Play him as a winger/inside forward. We don't have many now Sims has gone on loan

The only centre backs we have that aren't slow are Yoshida and Stephens so one has to play. Pretty obvious which one should play so it's pretty obvious who our starting 2 should be.

Hughes out! In all seriousness if Yoshida and Gabbiadini are fit there's no question they should be in the squad.

Why they haven't exactly set the world alight it's not like i'm expecting Hughes to change a winning side.

He's like a worse Hooiveld in terms of ability and personality Stephens is needed for cover at Right back and Centre back and I have higher hopes for him than Hoedt Beat me to it... It's a fans forum get over it.
