It's good to see Gaston back on the training pitch videos with the interview with Romeu, I'm pretty certain judged by Koeman's interviews, he isn't too impressed by Gaston efforts at the moment (or was frustrated with his minor knocks).

Yoshida role was more suited for this match I would have think, he's more defensively sound, given the fact the opposition will attempt to hit on the flanks to get on their cheeky long throws and corners.

I think I have to disagree with some of the Djuricic comments. He seem to want to give more in terms of going forward, compared to number 10's that have played in position (S Davis, JWP, Tadic) this season; he tries more through balls and is more energetic with the 1-2s near the box, and looks forwards rather than pass sidewards/backwards. Although his release clause seems a bit steep, and his evaluated price for us to buy him out (Sky sources suggest a clause in the loan contract gives Southampton the option to buy Djuricic in the summer for a fee of around £9m.) might be a bit too much for us to fork out. Best wishes to him whatever the summer outcome is.

Well thought out SaintTex, I would probably play Long on the Right against WBA, he'll probably find some space better than Mane and will be more of a physical nuisance and can play off Pelle.

Not sure how that is a 3-5-2, but I think Koeman will play the standard 4-3-3 and tinker on it depending if Carroll plays or not.

thought we could have got Long on for the last 20 minutes to be a bit of a pest, we allowed Stoke to have a chance to get back into the game too often. Oh well! 3 points is 3 points. Some players looked a bit tired and erroneous at the end.
