  1. Remember I've got destroyed for this post, ha ha! ...
  2. Koeman knocks himself on his chest, he is a gorilla, at Barça they called him Floquet de Neu (the albino gorilla). Haha in all seriousness, what he meant was that he expected Pellè to start good in the Premier League and to score some goals. 'Without myself knocking on the chest' means that he doesn't want to sound arrogant or as someone who knows everything. There is a boy from the Saints U18 squad who comes to Koeman to clean his shoes, Koeman told he is impressed by it, a good way to creates respect for eachother inside a club. It doesn't happen in the Netherlands.
  3. I also do think it's the strongest league in the world if you look at the whole league. But if you look at the topteams this midweek, Dortmund won against Arsenal, Bayern won against City and Schalke played 1-1 at the Bridge. I know that doesn't say everything but the German and Spanish topclubs are currently better than the English topclubs I think but it can be totally different in may 2015. And even when the Premier League is not the best league, it's still the most beautiful league, I enjoy every game, no matter what game. How do you people think about it?
  4. Haha basically he said: From the first moment everything was perfect, we have a good and balanced coaching staff and we can work perfect together. If there is anyone who doesn't understand the google translate translation ask me. I also love the Premier League, I don't say it's the strongest league in the world but it has something special.
  5. http://www.stream2u.me/watch/41421/2/Premier-League-Southampton-FC-vs-Newcastle-United.html This one, it works perfect. Pellè is superb, he is an upgrade on Lambert
  6. Graziano Pellè is world class, everything is perfect about him, his hair, his body, his anger issues, his interviews, his girlfriend, his playing style, everything! Haha no in all seriousness, Lambert was a proper striker, it's kind of overreacting from me to say Pellè is ten times the striker he was, but I like Pellè very much. I've seen at least 60 games of Pellè so I know where I'm talking about and I'm not the only one who loved him. Ex-striker Pierre van Hooijdonk would have wanted him in the Dutch squad if he was Dutch, I still want it due to the fact he never played for Italy. I'm sure a lot of Dutch journalists who are more knowledgeable than me would have preferred him over Huntelaar, thay says a lot, Huntelaar is one of the Bundesliga topscorers. There aren't a lot of players who are able to improve after the age of 27 but it seems Pellè does and why couldn't he be one of the PL topscorers? In 2013 Bony and Pellè were pretty equal and look at how Bony developed.. Pellè can be the perfect striker when you use him right, he is a typical 433 striker like Kluivert, he is strong in the air, can hold te ball (wins a lot of aerial duels), can score easy with both his head and foot.
  7. I think Southampton have had the best transfer window compared to other Premier League. Basically, Saints FC have bought better and cheaper players than the players they have sold. If you compare them: Pellè vs Lambert, that's obvious for me, Pellè is ten times the striker Lambert is, if he is able to reach his usual level, he is world class, he will be one of the topscorers this season or next seaon. Tadic vs Lallana, I believe Tadic is as good if not better than Lallana. Tadic and Pellè were the two best Eredivisie players last season, you've got them very cheap. Alderweireld (on loan) vs Lovren, I don't think there is a huge difference between them, Alderweireld have had a worse year with Atletico but he has been outstanding in Amsterdam for years, if he is able to reach that level then I don't think Lovren is better. Bertrand (on loan) vs Shaw, you have sold Shaw for so much money, one of the best deals in the history of football, Shaw is undeniable better than Bertrand but I don't think Saints have ever depended on Shaw, he is a huge talent but at the same time a young and unexperienced player, won't really mis him. To be honest I haven't seen a lot of Mané but it's a well-known fact that RB Salzburg produces a lot of good player, their midfield is physically strong and very dynamic. Chambers left Saints but there are still Clyne/Alderweireld at RB and Morgan in midfield, no problem at all. The best signing is Koeman, great manager, good tactics and a lot of experiences, the fact that he made De Vrij Feyenoord captain at the age of 20 says a lot about Koeman and how he works with young players. Saints are going to be top 6!
  8. Well, Narsingh is after a long injury period not the same player as before, he isn't even a starter for PSV. He won't be a good singing for any EPL team at the moment, maybe next year when he probably reach his old level.

  10. I don't really believe that he will go to a big EPL club like Manchester United, he is a young player and he needs to play every week as starter. I rate the chance that he will leave 50/50 and when he leaves PSV I think he will go for a club like Southampton or Spurs, but he will cost you at least 20m pounds, I'm afraid. Otherwise an attacking line up with Tadic, Pellè and JWP is good enough. What players do you want to see to come?

  12. I think based on what I've seen there is no reason to be bitter at all. Likewise Koeman said the points will come if we keep playing like this. I'm really impressed by James Ward-Prowse he played superb, Tadic also played a proper game. I'm hoping that Southampton will buy some good players and that Schneiderlin will stay in Southampton, what players do you like to see? I hope Depay, maybe not realistic but I think it'll be a good step up for Depay to play in a EPL club where he is sure he is a starter. For the central defender spot I'd say Fonte and Yoshida are actually ok and good enough, I don't know what central defender would be an ungrade on them. Maybe Vlaar but I don't see him leaving Aston Villa.

  14. Agreed. GK: Stekelenburg, a quality GK for almost every club in the world if he reach his old level or Vermeer from Ajax. CB: Vlaar or V. Dijk CF: I'd say Hernandez if possible. Fer, Leiva and Rojo are nice 'bonus signings'
  15. Exactly, Hiddink signed for the two next years till Euro 2016 after that moment it's sure Danny Blind will take over the job. Before Hiddink's announcement there was a little competition between him and Koeman but Hiddink gets the job and gets his revanche for 1998. It's Koeman his dream to manage Barcelona or Dutch NT once, but I'm sure he will stay a few years at Southampton if they don't fire him. So don't be afraid after Hiddink it's Danny Blind who will become manager. About the transfer rumours I've heard the name Hernandez, for me it seems like an excellent signing but I don't see how he can play together with Pellè. Pellè is more a 433 striker, with only him up front, with Hernandez you should play whether 442 or 352 with two strikers, I think. Do you think he can also play as winger? Of course Pellè also played with Feyenoord in a 352 system, but it's not his thing, he is an 'aanspeelpunt' a striker that holds the ball and passes the ball backwards so that midfielders can run to the goal and shoot. Rojo or Vlaar, both great players, gonna be happy if one them joins Saints FC.
  16. Heineken is just an inferior beer, true. There are much better kinds of beer out there, also in the Netherlands like Brand, Gulpener and Amstel. What players do you really want Saints FC to buy for next season?
  17. But their best players left. Pellè, Indi, De Vrij and Janmaat, their current squad is too young and not balanced. They needed to buy decent replacements, but they did not do yet. From what I know about Feyenoord they won't sell more players but Vilhena, Kongolo, Boëtius and Clasie are potentially good enough to play in England. Pellè is such an important player and I'm sure he will score +20 goals for Southampton. What are your thoughts on Bertrand, I don't really know him, but as long as there are replacements I'm happy. Rojo was one of the best players at the World Cup, how many Heineken barrels do you guys drink when he comes?
  18. Yeah of course but after Assaidi most Dutch footballers want to make small steps, they want to be sure they are going to be a starter when they move. Depay is linked with Spurs and Man Utd, but I don't think Spurs and ManUtd can guarantee him to be a starter. You were able to sign Pellè and Tadic the two best Eredivisie players, I'd say Depay is the third best Eredivisie player, so I truly believe Koeman will get him if he wants him.
  19. No worry, I think it'll be ok. Koeman is a coach that can buy good players like Pellè with Feyenoord but he can also creat good players. I'm pretty convinced in Pellè, he is easily world class, follow my words, he is the best Italian striker. Tadic with more pace would have played for Real Madrid, technically he is brilliant. We will see what comes after him, Fer is a good player, a strong box-to-box player with a good mentality, v. Dijk is a strong defender with a great potential, Vlaar is older but as you have seen at the World Cup, he was one of the best defenders. I don't know if those players are players that you wish as fans but I'm still quite positive about Koeman, I think he has a lot of potential signings in his mind. For example, Depay and Clasie, the first will cost around 20m, I guess, Clasie around 8m. Expect of Clasie I don't see other Feyenoord players leave, maybe Immers, but I doubt he is good enough for BPL. For me Pellè and Tadic are top signings, better than Lambert and Lallana. From what I know about footballers in England, I'd say Gnarby, Moses, v. Ginkel and Stekelenburg
  20. Well, I shouldn't be too negative about what's going on. Of course it's kind of ridiculous that Liverpool FC bought 3 players from Southampton, but at least all those transfers make it possible to reinvest a lot in new players. For me Pellè is a brilliant player, I'd have taken him over Balotelli and Immobile as best Italian striker, I've seen a lot of matches of him because I live in the Netherlands and I'm truly impressed by his skills. If Tadic had more pace than he would play for Real Madrid because technically he is brilliant, he is very smart and hard working player, and here again I wouldn't say that Lallana is better than him. Koeman is not a coach that buys stars, he is a coach that creats stars like v. Gaal, even without new players I'd confident that Southampton will keep a top 10 ranking next season. I'm hoping that Koeman made a list of new players that he want, nationality is not important but I hope some of my countrymen will join Southampton FC, there are a lot of talented players here like you have seen at the World Cup and expect of Strootman there is probably no Dutch player who will cost more than 25m pounds and I'm sure that a lot of Eredivisie players can make it in EPL likewise v Gaal said before it's the fourth competition in the world with an excellent working youth system, good tactics and full stadiums. De Vrij could be a top signing for Southampton, he already was the Feyenoord captain at the age of 20, he is a decent defender who is still young but he plays like an experienced player around the age of 30, you can have him for 8m euros (so 5m pounds?) otherwise v. Dijk is also a defender with a great potential. We will see what comes and what leaves, but remember that when Koeman joined Feyenoord there was no money, they were ended at place 11 in the league and he had to improvise, he picked up a lot of players from the U21 and U19 teams and those players became third at the World Cup. So there is always hope I'm su
  21. It is hard to say how a player will develop under a new manager and I cannot say how Koeman exactly train his young players, I have seen a lot of coaching stuff from him but not every single trainings session but in general you can say that Koeman always want to work with players from the youth academy, it's a part of our philosophy, the fact that you give a U21 player a chance to play in the first team gives hope to other youth players, it makes fans happy to see players from their 'neighbourhood' and it's great in financial terms. In the Eredivisie it is much more easy to step in the first league for a player under the age of 21, in the Premier League it's pretty hard, you have to be very strong physically, you have to be very strong mentally and tactically. Whether a young player will make a step to the first team under Koeman will first of all depend on his quality and if his attributes fits the profile of his playing style. Koeman worked with Cruijff and Van Gaal so he learned the ideas of total football and the Dutch football vision, which means that a goalkeeper can play far from his goal and has passing skills, full-backs who play 'deep' or 'high' (what do you say?) on the pitch and a single striker that can hold the ball for a few seconds so that midfielders have to opportunity to run to the goal to create a scorings chance. Those ideas never change even in a new system, he always played 433 but in february he chosed to play 532 with Feyenoord but those ideas will always be a part of his playing style. Koeman doesn't only want to be a manager for his players he also wants to be a kind of father, he listen to his players, he wants to give them a feeling that they are important, he gives them responsibillity and he wants to teach them what is means to be a prof footballer, I believe he is a better people manager than Van Gaal and De Boer. I cannot say what players under 21 are good enough to make it in the first squad but Southampton FC have always had a well-respected youth academy so there will be a lot of talented players walking around there. I'm sure that he is not only focused on the transfermarket but he is also very interested in youth academy and their coaches, he said in an interview that he doesn't want to be a coach of a club that only buys players.
  22. He brought Feyenoord back to the top in Holland, from a mid-table team with a lot of finacial problems to the second place in a year. But in all honesty I have to say that Feyenoord had the best squad last season but Ajax became champion. So basically everybody have a lot of respect for him, he did an amazing job but he is not better than Frank de Boer IMO
  23. Yes I'm from Holland. Am I welcome here? I just like Southampton as football club, the youth academy and their philosophy. I'll watch every single game next season. I hope some good Dutch players from Feyenoord will go to Southampton, but there is a huge chance they will follow LVG to United.
  24. I think it's a very good step forward for Southampton to sign Koeman however it's perhaps a difficult moment to step in, due to the fact that Southampton were outstanding this year, and it's gonna be a massive job to continue that, otherwise I'm fully convinced about him as manager. Hopefully Pellè follows him, in 2013 Pellè and Bony were very comparable and look how Bony play and score now in England, I think Pellè can do the same, he is very strong if you give him the ball he never give it away in a duel with a defender. Of course the Eredivisie is more easy for him but I'm pretty sure he will make it in England. Virgil van Dijk is a quality defender who will be a decent replacement for Lovren, it's quite weird that LVG didn't pick him up in the Dutch national squad for the World Cup. But Koeman likes him and I think he can make him a better player, like he did with all players in Rotterdam. When Koeman joined Feyenoord there was no money at all and he had to pick up players from the U21 team to make them profs, a difficult job but he did it very well and now they are fully-fledged internationals. After De Boer, Hiddink and Van Gaal I think Koeman is the best Dutch coach you can get.
