  1. You can only say that because he’s not a defender, both of them are the problem. Irrespective of how hard he tries.
  2. Gotta feel sorry for the team. We are second best in all departments. Not a single player in our team you could genuinely cite as high quality. I suppose the upside is that there is no danger of Liverpool poaching any of our current crop. Journeymen and doubtful prospects. It’s like watching WBA last season Oh look, that tit Corbyn is in the stands.
  3. Another classic Cedric cross. He should be kicking conversions.
  4. We are sunk
  5. Laughable shin ball
  6. This team is a shambles. You could see from the team selection we were only looking to hold them back, which was obviously never going to work. Bargain bin players. Think Pompey would beat us atm.
  7. God almighty.
  8. If you are picking a lone striker, Long wouldn’t be top of the list.
  9. Trains, Masons, Brexit, Mark Hughes. What puts a smile on your face, I wonder?
  10. "Hojbjerg’s strike for Southampton came from 34.99 yards out, the longest-range strike in the Premier League this season." From bbc
  11. Nah not a patch on coco’s banana goal.
  12. You guys are about 1 minute ahead of me! Boom!
  13. Christ almighty, Bertrand looks beyond casual. Comatose is more appropriate.
  14. Hence my subsequent retraction, which you can see at #124.
  15. I withdraw my comparison of Vestergaard to chipboard. Solid today, I like him.
  16. Stats almost identical, but I didn’t think we would lose at any point. Was quite enjoyable, and we won. Great. Palace were awful. McCarthy MoM
  17. Yeah, they have been horrible.
  18. McCarthy has done well today.
  19. Sums it up perfectly for me.
  20. What was it - 6 goals in 4 games on his debut? It is a shame we don’t play to his strengths, because he is quality. Doesn’t get the type of service he needs, and doesn’t fit our current direct style.
  21. Anyone know if this is being televised (anywhere)? Thanks
  22. Those are the main reasons, yes. He played dull, defence-first football, and the players did indeed underperform under his management. Hughes may not be a world beater, but he kept us up last season, and deserves at least half a season off the back of that achievement. Can’t understand your desire to change manager 3 games in, although I may have changed my mind after 20.
