Agreed, but having people who are happy to be here and want to play is a good start! There are a few from the academy who could play well for us this year, albeit not to the same level as those that will have gone. This gives us a measure of continuity.

Cut out the poison and this could be rectified. Get rid of those looking to go ASAP IMO.

Would like to see Reed & McQueen do good things in midfield, think chambers will have another good season. Think if Ings comes in he'll smash 20 for us. Also Davis & Morgan - need their consistency & calmness

I'm hopeful that the quality of a signings is evident to all, considering the money we potentially have to spend. If I were in Morgans position, I don't think id be willing to commit either until I saw evidence of the clubs ambition - which I personally believe is still there. Looking at it another way, if Morgan did stand firm, say he was looking forward to working with Koeman and the new season etc, and we ended up buying only 1 or 2 cover players, you'd imagine he'd feel disappointed. He is basically echoing the sentiments of many on this forum - ie - "okay, we accept that players have gone, even if we don't like it, now show that ambition still exists by strengthening the team" Again I think this is a symptom of a World Cup year - players away from clubs, Chinese whispers, lots of informal tapping up, all compounded by the fact that we performed so well last year. Ps - I had to pay a fiver to carry on this conversation, so I hope it ends up being worthwhile

So it looks like Morgan staying or leaving could be the most honest indicator for the clubs intentions, all the sales to date have been forced to some extent, however Morgan is willing to wait and see if ambition still exists. If he leaves it will be because the club aren't willing to spend a good portion of the cash received. I hope this isn't the case, and I am thankful to Morgan for his comments, he'd make a great captain (and he has a cool car).
