God that is an awful side, yes I know there are not many options, but it comes to something when we are having to put a side out like that in the Premiership. The recent abysmal purchasing mistakes are really coming home to roost now.
Yes cricket gear was more their thing but they did do a good selection of football boots, Mike Channon use to come in regularly along with Brian O'Neil along with most of the Hants cricket team but yes, Toomers was the go to place for footy gear.
I never went in Toomers as it was always Holt & Haskells for me as I worked there, but always remember Toomers being a prominent landmark in London Rd and Southampton.
Ill in bed atm after operation but my god that has made me feel better. Great to see passion back at St Mary’s, no wonder his nickname is The Alpine Klopp.
I'm gobsmacked that most on here seemed to expect an instant change with the new manager. I think he needs more than one training session to try and sort this shower out.
He sure did, well done sir.
A deserved pat on the back to the board as well for not going for the obvious choices and instead doing their homework and coming up with someone who plays the type of game that has given us the mist success in the past.
In the summertime when the weather was hot
We had a chance to ship all the dross that we'd got
But we decided to
move on the best player that we had
With all the sh*t that's come in
Not surprised this season's going bad.
I’m looking forward to the championship because it might kick start these events:
Gao decides to sell because he realises that the golden goose is not going to lay an egg without some effort and input.
Kat decides to sell because she realises we were not left in safe hands after all and needs to get out before she makes a total mess of her fathers dreams.
Ralph leaves because of a continuing sore throat caused by incessant talking of boll*cks.
90% of the playing side leave because of their mercenary tendencies and desire to play their poor excuse for football elsewhere before they are found out.
Ross Wilson leaves for his part in the Carrillo Mat robbery of Southampton FC.
And then just maybe a new dawn.
