We were nervous in everything we did hence all the square and backward passing and desperately trying not to lose possession, ironically 99 percent of the time we ended up giving them back possession anyway. It was an awful display to witness and unfortunately has highlighted Ralphs inability to get it right. Lovely guy but sorry his days have to be numbered.

I don't mind a loss if Ralph learns from it, but he just keeps on repeating the same failing tactics time after time and seems clueless in being able to turn things around in a game. Ings kept us up last season not Ralph, and now Ings has his mind elsewhere along with his injury problems we are a very poor side who seem to have very little to offer in a relegation dogfight. We might avoid relegation but if there aren't any changes this will only continue into next season and probably get much worse.

Square pass square pass square pass bad final ball.

Far too fucking easy for them.

Some of our defending was like watching a conference side playing Man City, it was embarrassing to see our so called defenders running about like headless chickens just chasing the ball. I am not at all confident that by throwing any chance of getting some sort of result from this game by fielding a disjointed and weakened team will secure us a result against Brighton. Brighton are no pushovers and they will not be overly concerned about playing us considering our form since the Liverpool win. However you look at it, a 5-2 loss is not the best result to carry into your next game and in my book is not great preparation and not motivational in any way.

Agreed.
-
How many of the advocators of playing a weakened side will be happy if the score stays at 5-2?
-
Aguerro, god help us.
-
I thought it was yellow.
-
If we can keep this down to six our confidence will be high for the Brighton game.

Typical post from you.

Omg, I don't believe this lineup, Ralph is either a wizard or is heading for a nervous breakdown.
-
I don't fancy us fielding a weakened side although I suspect it will happen. If we do the odds are on a heavy defeat and imo that is the last thing we want or need.
-
I love those sort of goals, thats how a ball should be struck.

I don't want to cast all the blame on Redmond for another loss, but my god, it seems that most of our attacking play breaks down when it gets to Redmond. A slightly better effort in the second half but overall yet another toothless display. It does seem that unless we get a free kick that JWP might dispatch we have no chance of getting a result.

Is Game preperation time contributing to our run?

A lot of comments mention high energy, it makes me wonder if it's actually the high energy that is doing us in. Perhaps High Energy = Tiredness, Capitulation and injuries. -
Why is it that our opposing managers always seem to make tactical changes at half time that change the game and yet we seem to go from bad to worse. It pains me to lump criticism at Ralphs doorstep given the injuries and the lack of investment but I think he has to shoulder some of the responsibility for these dire performances. Two 9-0 losses in two seasons is unimaginable and frankly criminal, even a none league club losing 9-0 against a top premier top would be highly embarrassed by being done by that margin. We have become very predictable, 1st half high press, 2nd half legs gone. Come on Ralph, I genuinely want you to come good but the clock is now ticking.

A bit too early to judge but the first signs are good which can’t be said for some of our acquisitions in the last few years, many of which looked totally dog as soon as they touched the ball.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

I'm not worried about relegation but I am very worried about our abysmal drop in form. Outside the first eleven our squad is weak and unless it is strengthened in the summer I will be worried about relegation. -
Is Ralph losing the plot! Armstrong off ffs.
-
If that was the case perhaps in hindsight Djenepo shouldn't of even been on the bench............................................just saying.

That's why I said Gao Knows. Btw, are you bracing yourself for the snow, I live in Kent as well.
-
I've not seen the game so I cannot comment on it, but having seen most of the games before the Man U fiasco it was obvious that our form was going downhill. I have a lot of time for RH but I don't think he escapes some blame in all of this and has been found out a bit tactically, but the biggest problem is our general strength in depth proven by the fact that as soon as a few first team players got injured we have fallen to pieces. Why on earth we didn't pull out the stops to get decent cover in at the back Gao knows.
